Pillsbury® Sugar Cookie Mix
Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
egg white, beaten until foamy
1 1/2 cups
finely chopped pecans
Smucker's® Orchard's Finest™ Pacific Mountain Strawberry Preserves, or any flavor Orchard's Finest Preserves
Thumbprint cookies are always a must-have on my Christmas cookie list. The jam makes them look so pretty and festive, and I like how you can use different jams in the same batch to change up the color and flavor. The pecans add a yummy crunch.
I thought it was very good. I love to bake too, but sometimes time constraints can make a packaged mix a good thing.

Found half a bag (???) of sugar cookie mix yesterday in the cabinet. Did a search to try to use it up, this one came up and I had enough for half a batch of cookies. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry, didn't read the instructions thoroughly, and filled the indentations with the preserves at the beginning instead of baking for 10 minutes, then adding and baking for another 2 minutes. Well, the preserves spread out, but the cookies still tasted good, they're just not as pretty.
Yum Yum is all i can say.
I made these this past Christmas. They were delicious. I only made two changes, one was that I didn't add the nuts, because we don't like nuts. Second I dipped the bottom of the cookies into melted chocolate & let it harden on wax paper. Thank you for sharing.
