Original Recipe Yield 1 - 2 pound loaf
 

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 6 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds

Directions

  1. Place water, milk, butter or margarine, eggs, white sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, and yeast into the pan of the bread machine. Select Sweet Bread setting, and Start.
  2. When indicated by the machine, after the first rise, add lemon and orange zest, raisins, and almonds to the dough.
