This was wonderful and so easy. I goofed ... put the torte in the freezer and came back to find the bowl of coffee mixture still on the counter! Oops ... took the torte out and swirled the mixture into a pattern on top. It was so pretty that next time I will reserve a bit of the coffee mixture to do it again.

Really delicious and easy to make. However, just like a few of the other reviewers suggested, don't take this out of the freezer until you are ready serve it. It melts very quickly and can turn into a mushy mess that is very difficult to cut. Other than that, don't change a thing and you'll have a yummy, refreshing dessert that will be enjoyed by all, even by non-coffee lovers.

I have made this dessert many times and each time I get rave reviews. If you love chocolate and you love coffee this is the dessert for you. P.S. I am not a coffee lover, but I love this recipe.

This is a beautiful dessert, very creamy and rich, but the coffee flavour came through too strong for my taste buds. On first bite it was pure heaven but after a couple more bites the coffee flavour became slightly bitter. I also find that this recipe melts really quickly if you are letting it sit out for unmolding and cutting (which became slightly messy for me.) I found the best way was to put it back in the freezer after unmolding and then cut and serve straight from the freezer. A little bit of hot fudge sauce to mask the bitterness of the coffee was good but next time I make this I will reduce the amount of coffee used. Yes, there will be a next time, this was a delicious dessert after all (Original review - April 1st 2011) (Update - April 5th 2011) After leaving it to sit in the freezer for a few days I find the flavour of the coffee mellowed out great! No bitter flavour and no need for any extra garnish (fudge sauce) It was delish!

Really good, but VERY rich. I brought this to a group gathering and most people felt the same. It needs to be thawed just enough to cut. If it sits out too long it will melt and you'll need a spoon to eat it. The filling is very ice-cream like both in taste and texture. The coffee flavoring is just right: strong enough to clearly taste and enjoy, but not overpowering. Great recipe! I'll definitely make this one again!

We loved it, I added 1 tablespoon of ground mocha beans to the mixture. Everybody was able to stay up till midnight and visit.
