I used a navel orange and wasn't fond of all the pulp...but it tasted good. Think I'll try adding vanilla flavoring next time.

I froze two containers of Light Yoplait vanilla bean yogurt last night to use in this smoothie this morning instead of ice cream. The yogurt gave the same creaminess and flavor with less fat. We loved it. Kids asked for seconds......which really made me wish I'd thought to freeze more yogurt. Huge hit.

This was so good, tasted creamy and it's just like everyone says "creamsicle" I will make sure to cut off ALL the white of the orange next time before I blend because I had bits of white chunks in mine, but other than that this was delish!

I deviated from the recipe to make an adult version. I added an ounce of Triple Sec. It made a refreshing and delicious drink.

I LOVE this drink!!! It tastes like a "melted orange creamsicle." I have lost count how many times I have made it now. I never thought to just freeze an orange. I have been using navel oranges and they seem perfect for this. I hadn't read the recipe the first time and threw them in the freezer with the skin on. If I soak them in warm water about a minute the the peel softens enough to cut off while the orange stays frozen. I also cut the orange into ice cube sized pieces to make it easier to blend. My grocery store does not have ff vanilla ice cream, but they do have half the fat and I use that. I do leave out the optional orange zest. It is a delicious way to eat a piece of fresh fruit and get some fiber and vitamin C in a cold drink. My blender will also fit up to 4 times the recipe which is nice.

I had this awes.ome drink last night. My wife made this drink and was so delicious that my mouth almost fell off. This drink is easy to make. If you want to add little more fun to this drink, add vanilla vodka.

Ideal for a dessert or after-school snack! Fat free frozen yogurt can also be used in place of the fat free ice cream. Think of it as a healthy version of those old fashioned orange creamsicles.
