These are really tasty! I made a few modifications to the directions, but not the actual ingredients. First, I didn't refrigerate them. I used a cookie scoop, and since I wasn't really handling the dough except to dip the ball in the pecans, I didn't find it was necessary to stiffen it up. I also didn't flatten them just because I was lazy, and another reviewer said it wasn't necessary. She was right, they turned out fine! They don't flatten any on their own, so if you want a flatter cookie, you will have to leave that step in. For the frosting, I think I could have made less. I gave each cookie a very generous dollop of frosting and I still had a bit left over. If you like a lot of frosting, make the whole recipe, but otherwise I think 2/3 of the frosting would be plenty. I did use the lemon in the frosting, and I didn't think it was too lemony, but I also think the cookies would be just as good without the lemon, and using milk in place of it. Just depends on what you're in the mood for at the moment! =) Be careful handling the cookies as they are a bit crumbly.

Real lemony goodness.I gave this recipe to my daughter to make these cookies for our christmas platter. It was easy for her to do. The cookies taste great and were a very pretty addition to our platter. Thanks so much.

I just thought this recipe was very average. I don't thyink I'd make it again. My mom loved it though so I guess it's all a matter of opinion.

Wonderful cookie! Such a timer saver-the pecans roast on the cookie sheet as they bake-no need to toast them beforehand. Delicious taste-I used milk in the frosting instead of lemon juice even though I'm a lemon lover-I will try with lemon next time. Also may try dipping top in granulated sugar after dipping bottom in pecans and eliminating the frosting. However you try these, try them, they are wonderful!

These taste wonderful! I had a bit of a problem with them flattening out too much when I pressed them down lightly with a spoon so I kept them in the balls and they turned out perfect. These will be repeated at Christmas for many years to come. Thanks so much for the recipe!

Unlike a couple of other reviewers, I DID put the lemon in the frosting. Personal taste I guess, but myself I like the lemon flavor. Very tasty, and do melt in your mouth as you eat them. Will definitely make many more times. Thanks for the recipe!

These cookies are delicious and pretty easy to make. I left out the lemon in the icing like the others that wrote reviews and was thrilled with the outcome. I'll definitely make these again.

Loved this cookie! When made exact to recipe, the pecans actually roast - the flavor is outstanding. Next time (and there will be a next time), I might add less or none of the lemon juice to the icing!

Simple and delicious! I mixed the pecans within the dough, and rolled the warm cookies in confectioners sugar instead of the lemon frosting. They're amazing! I'm making them for the holidays to give to my friends and families.
