good recipe. I made whipped cream instead of using whipped topping. We also passed the cream separately because not all like whipped cream in my family, even though chocolate is mixed in with it.

My family and others for whom I have made this, rave about it. As my son put it, "Martha Stewart is wetting her pants!!"

This was the first time I have ever made cheese cake and I think it turned out pretty good. I didn't really like the texture of the chocolate chips in the cheesecake but other than that it was delicious.

My boyfriend and I LOVE cheesecake! This was great! I made a few changes that you might like to try! I used Oreos for the cookie crumbs (took out the cream filling which was a little time consuming, but it had a great taste!) Then instead of the frosted topping I used cherry pie filling. I put it on individually to keep the freshness of the cheesecake. I didn't use all of the cheesecake filling, about a 1/2 cup to a cup was left. It was AMAZING!

I can't believe that I just ran across this recipe! I have been making this recipe for years...I found this exact recipe (and looks like the same photo) in 'Taste of Home' magazine a few years ago. I make this whenever I am having special guests over or really want to impress someone (mother-in-law, etc). It is FANTASTIC, unbelievable good. We have a Cheesecake Factory right down the street from us and I would want to eat this recipe any day over their very good cheesecakes! Only thing that I always do different is use less cool whip in the frosting to make the frosting thicker, it is much better this way.

My boyfriend is a big cheesecake fan so I made this for him (minus the frosting)! He loved it! And so did I and I don't eat cheesecake!

This cheesecake was amazing. It was very easy to make. My husband and two boys loved it. I used Oreo cookie crumbs instead of the chocolate wafers and it was very good. I will definitely make this cheesecake again.

I have used this recipe 4 times and everytime it's a hit. I was told that if I didn't bring it for christmas dinner I would be turned away!! I don't use the whipped topping and I put Milkyway Dark candy bars in the cheesecake and oh my goodness it's Fantastic! Try it that way and enjoy!

I made this recipe for my daughter's birthday and it was excellent. I was a little worried that the chocolate chips would interfere with the texture of the cheesecake, but they didn't at all -- they melted during baking and didn't reset. The cake itself was lovely, and the frosting on top was light and fluffy. I did change only one thing -- I couldn't find chocolate wafer crumbs, so I made a cinnamon graham crust from my chocolate marbled cheesecake recipe and it complimented the semisweet chocolate and creamy, smooth cheesecake perfectly, without being overpowering. Also, instead of almonds as garnish, I used a few of the mini chocolate chips instead (our six year old doesn't like nuts). An excellent recipe and one I recommend without hesitation!
