These are delicious! I frosted them with Cream Cheese Frosting II (1/2 the recipe) from this site and it's a perfect match. I garnished the top with chopped walnuts. Like other reviewers I also used a 9x13 pan, and baked for about 30 minutes. This was such a nice twist on regular banana bread, and turns it into a decadent, moist cake.

These were excellent! I loved them!! So moist and delicious! Plus, it made a whole pan of delicious treats rather than just a loaf of bread! I cheated and used store bought cream cheese frosting and while it was still good, I know that a home made version will be much better. I also chopped up some nuts and sprinkled them on top of the frosting. DELCIOUS!! I will make these again and again! Thanks for the recipe!

The recipe turned out great, but I was disappointed with the recipe overall. It didnt "wow" me the way I thought it would, made me wish I had turned the bananas into banana bread.

I always seem to have bananas that are really ripe and this recipe was great. So moist and flavorful. I did "cheat" and use a store bought cream cheese frosting.

If the submitter can enlighten me...I used whole wheat flour and splenda...and the banana taste did not come through AT ALL...and it was as flat as a pancake, which can be explained by the Splenda. In my past experiences these two mods did not make that much of a difference! Please help!

I hope this is better after it sits for a while. I just made these and without the frosting, I don't think I would be able to eat them. I don't know what I was expecting, since I have never had banana bars before. Maybe they are supposed to taste like this!

Very moist and tasty. Not quite bar, but not quite cake either...somehow it works. Used the whipped cream cheese frosting on this site.

More like a cake than a bar, but absolutely delicious nonetheless! Who would have thought that one of my favorite cakes would turn out to be a banana cake. The Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting recipe on this site complimented this recipe well.

5+++++ I would give this recipe more stars if I could. I used 4 very ripe bananas. They were perfectly moist and delicious. The kids loved them as well. I used a store bought cream cheese frosting, but next time I will try a recipe from scratch from this site for the frosting. Thanks so much for sharing such a great recipe!!! Will be making these again!!!

These are really moist and yummy! They are also very simple and quick to make. It only took me about 10 minutes to prepare them, which isn't long at all. I wanted to make some pumpkin bars but didn't have any pumpkin so I decided to look for some kind of alternative and these worked out better than I though. If I could I would give these more then 5 stars. I used homemade cream cheese frosting instead of store bought and I think the result was much better. I am also thinking of selling these at my local farmer's market! Thanks for sharing this recipe! :D

Great recipe! Mine ended up being more like a banana cake... I used to 9x13 baking dish which I'm sure made the difference. I added a dash of cinnamon to the batter.. will definitely be repeating this recipe!

Absolutely delicious! I frosted the "bars" (more like a snack cake) with the "Cream Cheese Frosting II" recipe on this site after they were completely cool. Wow! It was perfect. These were not real sweet and neither was the frosting. Very moist with the addition of the sour cream. I will definitely make this again and again. EVERYONE at work loved them!

Pretty darn good. I had 2 ripe bananas and gave it a shot. Followed the recipe exactly but added no frosting. Again, pretty good, just not a total "blow your mind" good recipe. If you like banana bread but want something a little lighter, this is a good bet.

This is basically banana cake, not so much banana bars. Disappointed with the end result as I thought it would be semi-nutritious for my kids.

Very Good and Tasty. You do definetly have to like banana bread to like this. I will leave the cram cheese frosting as a option. I like it with and my husband doesn't like frosting with it.

Wow, is all I can say! I wanted to try out the new Smart Balance/butter blend for baking, so I did it with these. I also used plain yogurt in place of the sour cream. I messed up the order in which you put the ingredients together, but it still seemed to work out wonderfully and taste great! I frosted these with the Cream Cheese Frosting I from this site.

This will become my standard banana cake recipe! I delayed adding the sour cream until the end, with the bananas - then I folded in both, gently. The texture of the cake was almost CREAMY when it came out of the oven!
