Friendship Christmas Fudge

SUBMITTED BY: southernbaglady

"I come up with this recipe while trying to think of something homemade to give my friends for Christmas. The Cranberries add a wonderful holiday touch to this fudge. It's a very simple recipe and it's also one recipe you will hear people saying how delicious it was! Make sure to include a recipe card with the fudge if your are giving it away for any occasion!"

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

  • 12 ounces white chocolate, chopped
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup toasted almonds
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange zest

DIRECTIONS

  1. Coat an 8 inch square pan with cooking spray, or line with parchment paper.
  2. Place the chocolate and sweetened condensed milk into a large bowl. Heat in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chocolate is almost melted. Stir to melt chocolate the rest of the way. Add the almonds, cranberries and orange zest; stir until evenly distributed. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Let stand at room temperature or refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours.
  3. Lift or tap the fudge out of the pan when cool. Cut into small squares. Store in a sealed container at room temperature for up to 3 weeks. These do not freeze well.
