Despite the fact that you have to "plan ahead," I like this recipe quite a bit. Remembering to make this the night before is always my downfall, but putting it together is not difficult at all. Frying it up the next morning is a piece of cake, and it is quite satisfying. Personally, I was not fond of the strong onion flavor (but husband liked it), so next time I will reduce or eliminate onions (when the day comes that he makes it, husband can add onions). One thing I might add next time to bring the stars up to 5 (in addition to the fat and calories) is to stir cheese into the grits immediately after they have finished cooking. Great comfort food (and not too bad for a hangover, either).

Great recipe. Really reminds me of good southern cooking. Don't be afraid to experiment. Some hot peppers and/or cheese in the original "loaf" are really good as well.
