Fried Green Tomatoes III

"Crispy green tomatoes try dipping them in hot pepper sauce for extra flavor enhancement. Easy to make and good to eat what more could you ask for?"

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large green tomatoes
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over a medium-high heat. Slice tomatoes 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Place flour in a small bowl. Dip tomatoes into the beaten egg, then dredge the tomatoes in the flour. Fry the tomatoes in the oil. Fry for approximately 2 minutes, flip the tomato and fry on the other side another 2 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
