I am rating the GRAVY only because I have not made the chicken yet. Oh....my....word. If the chicken turns out HALF as good as the gravy, this deserves 10 stars! I bought a rotisserie chicken for dinner last night and had mashed potatoes and green beans, and my husband wanted a gravy to put on the chicken and potatoes. My jarred gravy was expired, so I thought I would try this. EASY to make and the taste was unbelievable.......and I didn't even have the chicken 'drippings' to include in it! I will NEVER use jarred chicken gravy again. Only changes - I didn't have poultry seasoning, so I added some thyme and rosemary instead, and I had to add a bit more flour mixture to get it to thicken up more. I am so anxious now to try the chicken and will add my review when I do.

WOW!!! This is one of the best recipes I have ever come across! The only thing that I did different was I seasoned my chicken with salt, garlic salt, and a chicken all-spice before I ever put it in the flour/spice mix. I will be serving this again, soon! Thanks!

good recipe if you like fried chicken. I am not much into frying but my daughter requested fried chicken this evening. I did like how the coating stayed on and it was very crispy and tasty. I didn't cook my first batch completely and it was cooked for 30 minutes. The next batch cooked for 35 minutes and was completely cooked throughout.

I've never cooked fried chicken before and was a little afraid to try it, but this turned out great! I didn't have a whole chicken so I used chicken breasts cut into strips and used only 2 cups oil. The gravy was awesome too. My husband and I both loved it! Thanks for the great recipe.

This was so good! I've never made fried chicken before and was suprised at how easy it was. I added more spices and used boneless thigh and drumsticks. The gravy was good also, I just wish it had a little more chicken flavor but I could probably jazz it up a little next time.

This was the best fried chicken I have ever made. The coating actually stayed on the chicken, which I have always had trouble with. I increased each of the seasonings just a little, and used some cornstarch to thicken the gravy a little more. The gravy was wonderful.
