This recipe is so good. It saved my chicken legs. I am a student who has just moved out of home recently. I am experimenting when it comes to cooking. This is the best recipe I have tried so far. Really easy, and the chicken tastes great as well. I also added a lil bit of chilli powder. Nice and Easy :)

I double dipped the chicken: egg-milk, flour, egg-milk and flour. I liked this way and definitely will do it again. I did not use the mustard ingredient because I do not buy the product. Very tastefull.

I add celery salt as someone had suggested and my chicken tenders turned out great. I will definitely use this recipe again.

Did what other reviews said and coated the chicken then left it for 10 minutes and all the coating stayed on. This was a very light coating not greasy at all and was very crisp and the chicken was very moist. Once i had fried the chicken i placed it on a rack over a tray to cook it in the oven yo keep the crispness. The flavour was quite mild but nice i did put a tablespoon of dry mustard in it but stayed true to the rest of the instructions. I would do this recipe again but i wouldn't rave about it. Hubby really liked it though i think i would have preferred a more southern spiced flavour.

This is a very fab recipe !! I took the chicken and put it in water and cooked it in the microwave for 20 minutes. Then I coated it and deep fried it until brown. Delicious !!

This was okay, nothing outstanding and certainly not like KFC. I'll keep it as a quick go to recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Realllllllly good coating, very flavorful and had what I was looking for. I like the brown in the frying pan then bake approach too. Good recipe, it's a keeper for me.

I was in the mood for fried chicken, but don't know how to make it. This coating, and the simple way to cook the chicken in the oven, was wonderful! I don't really compare it to the "chain store" brand, because theirs is too greasy and has too much batter on it. This coating, and these directions made for some awesome chicken!! And satisfied the craving for fried chicken. I did add celery salt as described by a previous reviewer. A tip that I learned while surfing for a recipe: once you coat the chicken, let it set for about 10 minutes before browning. This will help the flour mixture adhere better to the chicken. Thanks for a great recipe! My family loved it and said to make sure to make it regularly.

I was looking for a great crispy batter for chicken similar to the Famous Restaurant kind. I made this last night, and for me it has too much of something in it, seemed like too much paprika, or something, reminded me of the time I made Sage Stuffed Chops, and all I could taste was very strong sage, and we couldn't eat it. The Texture to this Recipe was Great and was what I was hoping, but the spices seem to be a little wrong and overwhelming. I don't think you should be able to actually see all that paprika in it. You can't see KFC's spices visually, but a couple specs of pepper maybe. But its a good base to work with. Great Texture, I added a little celery salt and garlic also, but was still overwhelming with paprika I think.

I read some of the reviews for this coating and it seemed that there was a few spices "missing". I went into another website and found the GENUINE KFC ORIGINAL RECIPE. Among the ingredients listed in this recipe, the KFC ORIGINAL RECIPE has 1 TBLSPN celery salt, 1 TBLSPN dry mustard and 3 TBLSPNS MSG ( Accent). I tried it with ALL the 11 spices combined and you have the recipe just like the Colonel makes ! My family loves it and saves us a trip to the fast food chain.

This recipe was alright, however I would stay away from the oregano, and use some garlic and a bit more pepper!

This recipe was much better than what I usually make. It didn't taste like a famous restaurant though. It seemed to be missing a spice. However, my husband liked it, so I will try it again and add some other spices next time.

Not exactly like a famous restaurant (at least not one I know of), but definitely delicious. A little goes a long way though. We also prepared with boneless chicken breasts and it was a hit with even my picky eaters.
