I have made this a couple of times already and just discovered this recipe a few weeks ago. I did make a couple of changes due to the fact that I am on the Core Plan through Weight Watchers. I used canadian bacon instead of regular, omitted the sugar, and used a little olive oil to soften up the cabbage. It was fantastic and it had all the right foods in it for my Core Plan. Thanks very much for this recipe!!!

SCRUMPTIOUS!! Thanks for such an easy and tasty recipe. I used more bacon and used Red Wine Vinegar instead and we ate it all.

Needed to use up a half head of cabbage and this was a big hit with my wife. I used red wine vinegar rather than cider; added some thinly sliced apples near end of saute; and used butter instead of bacon. We will do this one again.

per other reviews, i tripled the bacon and added a minced clove of garlic. also i simmered it much longer covering it with a lid. thank you so much, my kids now actually love cabbage. my 11yr went back for seconds, by-passing seconds of her other favorite side dish!

Very delicious! I cut larger pieces of the cabbage and cooked it for less time, about 10 minutes. The vinegar made a big difference too.

This was a great recipe. I will omit the vinegar next time because even though the taste isn't strong the smell of the cider vinegar is horrible!

I am on weight watchers and I am always looking for delicious food low in points...I found a winner...this was great...my six year old loved it and so did my hubby...best of all is that it was only one point and fulfilled a veggie requirement. I will cook this over and over

Great recipe! I used some bacon drippings and turkey bacon for the actual meat. It was really tasty! Will definitely add this to my regular rotation!

If I used one word to sum up this dish it would be YUM! Even my picky "I don't like vegetables" husband like it and said it's a keeper. I omitted the sugar and vinegar but added some cayenne pepper and garlic for a little kick. It was even better the next day reheated.

I have never had cooked cabbage before and this was excellent. I added garlic with the onion as some previous cooks suggested. I also covered it during the simmering time. It came out great! Works great as a low-carb side dish.

This is the best stuff. When I cooked it, my son even came in and said, "Wow, that smells soooo good". He didn't even know it was cabbage. I give it 4.5 stars. A good ole southern dish for sure.
