This was a quick and simple way to get my family to eat their veggies! I served it with scalloped potatoes and ham steaks. This is one I'll make again.

This recipe was absolutely wonderful. I added a little more bacon then the recipe called for, which made for great flavor. My husband and 13 yr old loved it too.

This recipe was O.K., but nothing really special. I guess I was expecting more after reading all of the reviews.

I made this recipe this evenng. We had a pound bag of coleslaw from the grocers (w/o the dressing). I used balsalmic vinegar, made the dish a rather dark color. I used about two Tbs. of b. vinegar, several pinches of sugar and three thick slices of bacon. Removed the bacon and some grease and then topped it with the latter at the end. This recipe was good and I will make it again. The three of us ate it all. However, I don't think it's "the best". I think cabbage is sort of hard to make "delicious". I would recommend more vinegar for a sweet and sour taste. Bacon didn't add that much to the dish. It vaguley reminded me of German potato salad.

Excellent! I don't think I will eat fried cabbage any other way... well, at least for some time. Very filling too.

excellent! I did add extra bacon and probably 3 pinches sugar. I decided it needed a bit more sweetness about half way through cooking. Very yummy.

Had the cabbage, but no bacon, so I used andouille sausage. Guess it's still considered fried cabbage. Anyway it was very good & tasty., nice & spicy. I'll make it again, hopefully having all the correct ingredients next time.

I tried this recipe the other night. No one gave any comments on it good or bad. I thought it was ok, but I think I'll just steam my cabbage from now on.

You only really need 4 ingredients for this recipe to be really great: 8 slices bacon fried...whole onion chopped... head of cabbage chopped and salt to taste. Fry the cabbage and onions in the bacon grease until it falling apart. I've been eating this for around 50 years and there is no better food!

This is similiar to the one I had been using for years. I like the idea some reviewers had about adding Balsamic Vinegar instead. This one is absolutely going in my recipe box! My husband is in heaven! Thanks bunches!

Awesome stuff! It sounds like such an odd combination for a Northerner like me, but this is great. I normally add extra bacon though.. you can never add too much. =)
