I did a vegetarian version - loved this dish. I fried onion and a clove of garlic in butter rather than bacon, and added balsamic vinegar rather than cider - it was delicious, will definetly be making agin. (I served it with a cheesy tomato vegetable casserole and it was great!)

This was quite good with a flavour that reminded me of perogies. I found it a tad bit greasy but will make it again.

This is a keeper! Followed this recipe to the tee, minus the vinegar (I put it on my plate though). My mom said "see if you can give it six stars somehow". Every other time I've attempted to make Fried Cabbage it's been a flop. This was great! Thank you.

Great recipe! I didn't have any cider vinegar, so I used balsamic vinegar instead. Our whole family liked it - thanks so much.

Great recipe. Not at all greasy like you might expect. Loved the little extra zing from the vinegar.

I've been doing this for years...only without the sugar and vinegar...my family just doesn't care for it that way. They like it savory, not sweet.

One of my fave dishes - only I use a high quality extra-virgin olive oil instead of bacon... awesome flavor! Cover tightly, cooking over low heat in a heavy pan and you won't need the 2 TBSP water... This dish is best served with southern-style cornbread (buttermilk, no sugar). Yum!

My hubby and I didn't really care for this, we thought it was a little bland. Maybe I'll try making this again and tweak the recipe a little.
