This recipe was great!! I had a mixture of fresh strawberries & frozen sliced... I don't think I had enough of the jello mixture though maybe next time I will double it and add extra marshmallows. It tastes like a yummy shtrawberry shortcake. I served with cool whip topping. Next time I think I may try the earlier suggestion of slicing it in half and serving as a layer cake. Great Recipe.. Thanks for sharing

I made this for my boyfriend's family - I'm a teenager trying to cook more. It was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend's mom can't stop telling everyone about how great it is! I've done Pineapple Upside Down cake before, but this is unique. It tastes great, although I'm going to put in more marshmallows next time (couldn't taste them much!) GREAT RECIPE! THANKS!

I had such expectations for this recipe. Sorry, this was just ok. I let the cake sit out 15 min. before flipping the cake (like the recipe said) and it stll stuck to my Pyrex. I even used Pam before adding all the ingredients in the Pyrex. Not really the prettiest, yummiest or impressive for company, so I probably won't keep this recipe. I do, however, highly suggest adding Cool Whip on top when serving.

very tasty, the 'real' strawberry flavor came through. i checked it at 38 minutes and it was done, perhaps could even have gone 35 minutes for a nice moist cake. next time, i might let the berries sit a few minutes before adding the remaining ingredients to let them draw even more juice.

Tastes like strawberry shortcake. I used half the amount of jello and 2 cups of marshmallows.

I made this cake for my nephew because he loves strawberries, he loved it and so did the rest of the family. I was a little skeptical of the ingredients since I dont like marshmallows or jello but you really could not tell either were in the cake at all.

It lacked presentation and not pretty at all! We will eat it so as to not waste the ingredients.I agree with one of the reviwers that it was a rubbery consistency and really tasted like a boxed cake with cut up strawberries on it. I ended up putting some cool whip on it to dress it up a bit and added some nuts and fresh sliced strawberries on top to jazz it up a bit for presentation. To me, it is not worthy for company presentation.

It was really really good. I used more strawberries than the recipe called for. I had a lot to use up before they went bad. It turned out great! It was a fun recipe for my 3 year old to help with since the first 3 ingredients are "dumped" in. I will definately make this one again!

Wow this wasn't what I expected, i was unsure how it was going to turn out, but now I am glad I made this. What surprised me the most is that the marshmellow kind of disappeared into the the cake but gave a fantastic taste. I ended using a whole bag of marshmellows too. will make this one again thanks for a great recipe

I have made this cake a couple of times now and each time it was a big hit. The last one I made was with blueberries, so I changed the jello to a mixed berry and used a french vanilla cake mix instead of the golden. It turned out wonderfully.

Wonderful! I add about a cup extra of mini marshmallows, cut the cake in half and stack it to make a "layer" cake, then spread whipped cream around the sides. We've made this four times over the past month, and people have raved about it every time.

Great recipe. Always get requests for the recipe. Theres room to modify and play around with the taste too. Play with the variation on jello flavors and fruit toppings! Delicious!

What a pretty cake. It deserves 10 stars for presentation. It didn't go over too well around here. The cake itself was good but we didn't groove with the strawberry topping. Tasted too much like a box of strawberry jello was dumped on top, go figure.

I know a lot of people said this was rubbery but I've made it twice not and it was perfect each time. the strawberries came out more like a jam. Everyone who tried loved it. So I made it again for a potluck. Plus it's very easy to make. I used fresh strawberries and crushed them with the bottom of a cup. Maybe those who had trouble with it being rubbery made it with frozen strawberries.

It was okay, but I won't make it again. It was not what I expected after reading the recipe and reviews. It was super moist and everyone liked it.

This was fun to make with my hubby and step-daughter. It tastes better after its refrigerated. If I make it again, I'll add a little sugar to the strawberries if they're tart. This will be a good holiday treat because of it's color, but it's not going to enter my normal dessert rotation. I'm just too much of a chocolate gal!

I did cut back on some of the marshmallows, and it was still good. I was totally suprise on how well it tasted and how moist it was. I will make this for our fourth of july gathering.

LOVE THIS CAKE!!!! It was so easy and delicious! I didn’t have any mini marshmallows so I cut up some of the big ones. I also used Strawberry Crush soda instead of water in the cake mix. I thought it would add more strawberry flavor to the cake. I know that I will make this cake again soon!!

I made this cake for Mother's Day as well. Everyone loved it. I was a little nervous turning it upside down but I did it and it looked perfect. I will be making this again but I'm going to try Bannana Cake mix. Yummy!!!
