Good, however would make some changes if I make this recipe again. I would use seeded roma tomatoes for a heartier tomato flavor and green onions instead of regular white. I made the recipe according to the directions and found the taste to be good, but average for a homemade salsa recipe. I added freshly ground black pepper and some tabasco, which helped give a more zesty flavor.

I had to add a few changes, but all in all its a good recipe. Adding a few romano tomatoes and an anaheim chili, plus a touch of catsup (sounds funny but its a good touch)

The produce store had huge bags of Roma tomatoes and onions/garlic for $1.00 each, so I thought I'd make fresh salsa for Super Bowl. I probably doubled this recipe, and added even more cilantro and lime juice. Made it all in the food processor in 2 batches. Yum - I'd forgotten how wonderful fresh salsa is!

This is the same recipe I have been making for ages. Everyone loves it, and there is never enough, no matter how much I make. The great thing about it is that you can simply adjust the amounts of the different ingredients to make it the way you like. I like it spicy, so I throw the seeds in with the peppers. Also, red onion works really well in this.

I really did enjoy it, but maybe it's the Texas in me, I thought it could be a little hotter. I will make it again using atleast 2 jalapenos this time. All-in-all though, it was really great.

Made this for our 4th of July celebration. Everyone scarfed it down and even had requests for the recipe. Got better as it sat. Only thing I'd do different is use a meatier tomato like a roma as it seemed a little too thin.

Good, basic, and easy for beginners. Beware of the jalopeno seeds though! If you choose to add them they really crank up the fire of the entire recipe.

This is a good basic salsa...now if you really want to make it a California salsa you need to add at least one avocado and do not use so much garlic, unless you are looking for a Gilroy taste. Gilroy, California is known for its garlic every-thing...garlic perfume, garlic ice cream etc. Lets just stick to our basic salsa. Buen provecho !!!

I too make this salsa all the time, and never measure anything. We love it, although I usually add chopped fresh avocado to it.
