This recipe is ALWAY a hit and everyone wants to know the recipe when I make it. My suggestions would be 1/4 of the suggested amount of red onion and substitute Apple Cider Vinegar for the White Vinegar.

This is a good salad and I will make it again but I will cut down on sugar next time: a whole 1/2 cup made it way too sweet and I had to buy more broccoli to add to the salad.

This is always a BIG hit. I use sunflower seeds instead of almonds, green onion instead of red and no cheese. Definetly needs to sit a couple of hours b4 serving. Put the bacon in just before and toss. I also use Thompson raisins, because they are Big and juicy! Yummy!

totally delish! changes i made were to use less mayo cuz i didn't have enuf (3/4c lo-fat), sugar (2 heaping tblspns equal) & vinegar (1 tblspn). having done that i think it would be better with the full cup as i definitely used 2 large heads of broccoli and it could have been a bit more wet. however, everything else i did as instructed and it was sooooo good! i totally recommend making a day ahead, without the bacon, so the flavors can really marry (and the broccoli can soften a bit). since i like the bacon crisp i would add just before serving. i'm eating some now that i made sunday and it so good and healthy i don't feel a bit guilty eating a ginormous bowl. try it, you'll love it!

Wow. This is by far, the best broccoli salad I Have ever tasted. I made a huge batch for a baby shower and everyone was raving about it and asking for the recipe. I did halve the amount of onion, and it was still too much, in my opinion. I also left out the bacon to make it vegetarian friendly, and didn't miss it one bit.

Overall, very good. As others have mentioned, quanties listed in cups would help. I used 4 broccoli crowns (about 6 cups) and 1/2 of a large red onion (about 1 cup). I also used slivered almonds instead of sliced and upped the raisins to 1 cup. I substituted apple cider vinegar because it is what I had and I also substituted Splenda for the sugar and used lite Mayo. I threw in some chopped oranges. I thought this would have to sit overnight, but this was fantastic right after mixing it up! Way yummy and I will make it again and again!

It's really good. The only thing I thought was it was too oniony. I'd cut back on the onions to make it better. Other than that, I loved it.

This recipe is very worthy of all the high reviews..it is absolutely delicious. The only things I will do differently next time (and there will certainly be a next time) is to use less onion and less sugar.

I use red wine vinegar as well and I also use cashews (toasted for a few minutes) instead of almonds, and I omit the onion because Im not crazy about onions and they are strong in this recipe. This is absolutely delish, but dont eat too much, broccoli can be deadly if you know what I mean!!

This is a recipe that I've been using for years and it's always a hit...I like my bacon to be crispy with the salad, so I add the bacon right before serving

I've made this recipe a lot. The only thing I do different is add about a cup of cooked pasta. Any kind of pasta works but, my families favorite is the tiny shells.
