I loved this. I used turkey bacon and low fat mayo. I substituted dried cranberries for the raisins because I like 'em!

I can't tell you how much I LOVE this recipe. It tastes just like my favorite dish at a popular soup n salad bar that we frequent. My stepdaughter could not get enough of it. The only thing I changed was I used cashews instead of almonds to mimic the restaurant recipe. I would definitely cut down the bacon a little bit next time as well. I felt it overpowered the other flavors. Another thing is I found that it did not taste good overnight. The broccoli became soggy and the dressing a little runny. This is definitely a dish that shouldn't be made a day ahead of time if using for potlucks or parties.

This was so very good! I didn't realize I didn't have any white wine vinegar, so I used raspberry balsamic instead and it was amazing. I did do a tad less sugar - maybe a smidgen over 1/3 cup, but I think it was fantastic and a little more sugar wouldn't have hurt anything. I did, however, feel like an entire red onion was a bit much so used about 1/3 of one. They are huge! But wow....this was a highlight of the BBQ.

The ingredients in this version of broccoli salad are spot on, except for the dressing. As written, it is a little too sweet. Once I added more vinegar, it worked. No leftovers at the party, so clearly a winner!

This was a huge hit at our Memorial Day bbq. I changed the recipe slightly--I used 1 large head of broccoli and added a small bag of shredded cabbage/carrots (what you'd use for coleslaw). The salad look beautiful and tasted even better! I will definitely make this again.

I LOVED this broccoli salad. I thought the white wine vinegar was perfect! It was a hit and I will make it again for sure. I really liked the onion as directed because the vinegar tones it down quite a bit.

Sometimes I use sunflower seeds or scallions or craisins or dried cherries. This is a summer staple for us. Only use mayo not salad dressing/miracle whip.

I made this for a family get together. It was delicious! I added a half head of califlower and some shredded carrots to mine. I also used sunflower seeds instead of almonds and did not add raisens. I will make this again!

I used dried cranberries and added some shredded carrot, and it was so pretty I could not bear to add mayo to this, so I used a white wine vinegar/olive oil and herb vinaigrette... I know, I know...not the same recipe, but delicious, and five starts for inspiration. I PROMISE to try it with mayo at some point, but my mostly veggie-hating family absolutely raved about this so I had to give my kudos to the submitter - Thank you!

I love this recipe. I do add some finely shredded carrots and mix in a couple of teaspoons of the bacon grease to the dressing (yeah, I know). Thanks for wonderful recipe.

Boy do I love this! I used half broccoli and half cauliflower, roasted peanuts in place of sunflower seeds (much cheaper, and I couldn't find sunflower seeds!). Used less onion. And I also used half of the dressing mix...which seemed to be more than enough. It would have been too soupy otherwise.

I have been making this for a few years Like others I only use 1/4 of the onion. I like mine best with pecans. You can also use walnuts or peanuts. I also cheet a little and buy the precooked bacon and crisp it up in the microwave or you can use the bacon bits for salads (don't use the imitation bacon bits though). I wate until right before I serve it and put the bacon bits on top so they won't get soggy.

It was really good... NONE of my kids liked it, but at Easter dinner it was a huge hit with the adults. I didn't add the nuts, I forgot them at the grocery store.

I've made this about five times with great success. I have made it as is or with additional green vegetables (broccoli, green pepper, celery) but I always use the red onion for color. Sometimes I don't add the almonds. The bacon and raisins give it a certain specialness. A real winner.

We found the onion was too strong, even after letting it sit. Next time I will use only half the onion.

Wonderful salad; used craisins and apple cider vinegar; a little more brocoli and a little less bacon. This salad is really user-friendly. Is very forgiving of adjustments. Best salad ever.
