I made one with spread and one w/o. The spread was horrible. Just plain was wonderful. I put swiss on top of ham and on the bottom. Wonderful melt!

These are tasty and versatile. I omitted the poppy seeds and used minced shallots instead of green onion and I used a bit more ham. I used thinly sliced deli turkey on some to accommodate the dietary needs of my family. It makes a lot but they freeze well. I can see that these can easily be adapted, varying the meats and cheeses or adding bacon. Breads could be Kaiser rolls or other buns. The variations are as good as your imagination.

These sandwiches are awesome. I used Swiss cheese on some and cheddar on others to satisfy everyone in my family. Everyone raved. I will definitely make these again and again!

This was a great sandwich! I omitted the curry but this was still very tasty. This is a nice way to serve sandwiches but still feel like you made it special. I'll be using this for my OES lunches too. Thanks for such a simple but very good sandwich recipe!

These were really delicious and easy. The butter made these sandwiches so rich, they were really great for dinner, one was all I needed. I halved the recipe to make five sandwiches, and the leftovers are going to make really convenient lunches. I did not have curry powder on hand, so I used a bit of turmeric, and didn't miss any curry flavor at all. I highly recommend these.
