Like previous reviewers, on my first attempt the dough didn't rise. On my second attempt, I left out the salt, and melted (and cooled) the butter before adding it to the yeast mixture, and it worked great. The cake got rave reviews from my family and co-workers.

I made it just the way it was supposed to be....but it was just weird. I think it was pretty and each part tasted great on its own. Although, I really didn't like the chocolate mixed with the topping. I would prefer this with more of a cinnamon filling, or if I kept the chocolate filling I would leave off the topping and cover it in ganache. Good recipe. Just not my cup of tea.

As with the other user, my yeast did not rise at all so mine turned out nothing like the picture!! The flavor was good though, but the presentation did not turn out well, unfortunately.

Maybe ny yeast was old, but the dough didn't rise. The cake was very hard and dry. It looked really pretty, but no one ate it.

When I made this,it looked so good I wanted to eat before it went into the oven! It tasted so good.The filling and struesel make a wonderful dessert.Thank you for this cake!
