This was my first attempt at french bread and it turned out perfect! I make bread monthly, so I was happy to read other reviewers pointers and took those all into consideration. When it came to the yeast , the recipe said 2 1/2 pkgs, I didn't want to try and half that little pkg so I used it all (3 pkgs). After reading the reviews about the flour I decided to measure out all 6 cups in a separate bowl, using 2 cups to start and then with the 4 cups left over, stir in what I could and then knead in some more until consistency felt right. Like another reviewer said there was flour leftover. I let mine rise for a 1 + 1/2 hrs. This recipe did make 2 good size loaves. When my loaves cooled my end use for this was garlic bread. I got the garlic bread recipe from Brown Eyed Baker posted February 2015 Delicious!
