This is an awesome soup base! I made several changes (ie. used seasonings my family enjoys instead of dill, added more/different veggies), but was wonderful! My 5 picky children even ate it up! WINNER!

This was a great, tasty veggie soup! The dill made it special :) I'm heating up the second half of this right now and can't wait to eat it!

This was alright, but not fantastic. I will try adding some more flavour to the rest so that I don't end up wasting it. Maybe pasta instead of the potatoes, some minced garlic, and some thyme would make it more flavourful.

This was very simple, but so good. I made a huge batch and froze it. Now, whenever I have a hankering for vegetable soup, I take one out of the freezer and cook it with potatoes and diced steak strips. Make sure to dice the potatoes small so that they cook evenly.

We didn't need to freeze it, we skipped that part and had it that same night, it was amazing!!! I added zucchini and a little bit of Jalepenos, also Oregano, rosemary, basil, italian seasoning and very little dill weed, it tastes better with less than the recipe calls for. Fabulous!!!!

Great soup base! Great flavor. My hubby loved it. I think the dill is what makes this so good. Thx:)

thank you for the recipe - we loved it. i used chicken broth instead of water and added more veggies (green beans, red peppers, parsnips - whatever was in the fridge). so, so good.

This is a great recipe. I wanted to take advantage of tomato harvest season. There is nothing like a fresh tomato. I made this recipe and froze it in small batches. Today, I took three batches out, put it in my Nesco Cooker added water, lentils, rice, sausage (already cooked), a chicken bouillon cube. It is delicious. I hope I can save enough for the winter. I might eat it all before then.

I loved this simple recipe..just what I was looking for. I can really make the most of garden veggies or veggies on sale at the market. I add venison meatballs sometimes too and it's just great. Thank you!
