This is fabulous! I've made it twice in one week (had grandkids in town to eat it!). The second time I sliced the bread 1/2-inch thick and liked it even better. Also added a dash of cinnamon.

Not bad. I like that you can prepare this ahead of time . . . such a timesaver for busy people! Plus, I'm not at my best in the morning so making things from scratch isn't the easiest thing for me. I am not a huge fan of french toast, but this is nice. It's crispy and still soft and gooey. I made with Carrot Raisin Bread, which was a good match for the recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Very easy way to make breakfast, with little preparation needed in the morning. I found best results cooking with a lightly greased pizza tray

These are excellent! We make them every christmas and of course always make extra to leave in the freezer for another day.
