Fantastic recipe- has become a staple in our home. I only use 4 Tablespoons of butter, omit the eggs and increase the amount of cheese. I leave the 1/2 and 1/2 the same, but I heat it with the velveeta cubes to create a nice thick sauce. It comes out great every time!

The BEST!! I have tried all kinds of recipies, and cook for a Mac & Cheese aficionado who agrees this one is the best, I have made several variations including a no-bake, and a "grown-up" version with chicken, bacon and onions, but no matter what you do YOU NEED THE EGGS!!! Having left them out on accident once, believe me they are worth the effort (just make sure you get them well mixed before they begin to cook) and they will keep the dish from getting hard and gelatinous as it cools, and help with the creamy texture as well. I also recommend the munster as it adds a sofisticated tase (not overpowering). I have decided that my favorite way to cook it (with or without baking) is to mix all the ingredients together (minus the macaroni) in a sauce pan to ensure proper melting of the cheeses then pouring over the noodles. That seems to yield the best texture and creamyness! This is also when I fold in sauted chicken, bacon and onions for the "grown-up version (more of a main dish than a side dish). Peppers work too!

Excellent! We did not use the eggs, and we used whatever cheeses we had. The muenster cheese is key. This is very rich and creamy so it is definitely more of a side dish vs a whole meal. We will certainly make it again.

My entire family loves this recipe. Oven baked Mac & Cheese is so good. The Jack cheese is what makes it stand out from the rest. I like it more creamy, so I leave the eggs out. It looks like a lot of cheese at first but it will bake down.

This was the creamiest Mac & cheese I have ever made! I've tried many recipes and this is the ONLY one I got thumbs up from ALL my family members! Thank you! And just as tasty for leftovers!

Pretty good though I will make a few changes next time around. I did add fontina and omitted the eggs. Think next time I will use more sharp cheddar and added velveeta. Thanks for the delish recipe! :)

This is a great recipe. I tried it using the mexican style velveeta by accident because that is all I had in the house and it was fantastic. My boyfriend loves it.

This was very good and easy to make. It was similar to the mac & cheese that I already make....the melted butter, and the processed cubed cheese sauce were key!! Thanks :-)

BEST macaroni I've ever had. I made this for a luncheon at my husband's work and everyone raved about it. There were no leftovers and a quite a few people asking me how I made it. I will not make this a lot because it is not the healthiest thing to eat, but I will certainly fix it every time there is a special occasion.

I made this recipe exactly as is, with none of the recommended changes. I hated it. It came out very dry, the half n half looked almost "curdled," so it looked as though there was ricotta in there. And it was so very very bland. :(

I followed Kimzee's directions and made a few changes. -I used different cheeses: 2 c Munster, 1 c Vermont cheddar, 1 c sharp cheddar -I had some heavy cream on hand that I needed to use so I used 1 c heavy cream and 1 c 2% -I caramelized onions and green peppers and added them to the mix Enjoy!

Mmmmmmm ~ ! After several failed attempts at delicious homemade mac and cheese, I'v finally found it. Heated 1/2 stick of butter with 2 cups 1/2 and 1/2. Salt and pepper.. Then added the Velveeta to make a nice creamy sauce. Puured over noodles and shredded cheeses. Stirred in a 1/4 C. light sour cream. No eggs. Topped with more shred ched, french fried onions and paprika. Then baked. Soooo creamy & indulgent but worth it! Make this special treat for the ones you love!! =)
