"My mum has been making these delicious, no-bake squares every holiday for years! They make a pretty addition to any holiday platter of cookies, bars, and squares, which makes them great for entertaining. They can also be made early and frozen. These are very sweet and rich, so cut them fairly small."

Directions

  1. Line a 9x9 inch baking dish with whole graham crackers without overlapping them.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, bring to a boil 1/2 cup butter, brown sugar, and egg. Stir in the graham cracker crumbs, coconut, and walnuts.
  3. Remove saucepan from heat. Carefully spread over whole graham crackers, covering entire surface of baking dish.
  4. Beat together 1/2 cup butter, evaporated milk, custard powder, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Spread icing evenly on top of crushed graham cracker filling. Cover, and refrigerate.

A good quick recipe, but is exactly the same as Eagle Brand condensed milk recipe for 7 layer bars, just with a fancy name...

this yummy deluctable recipe is good to make forholidays and sometimes just family dinners it is one lovley recipe that my family enjoyed

I used a 9x13 pan for the recipe and layered the grahams in the full bottom and on placed grahams on top of the filling that was in a similar recipe. I used the frosting recipe for the smaller batch and frosted the top layer of grahams.Covered and refrigerated. It was perfect, It is very sweet. (I also used white sugar.)
