INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 cups cold water
2 cups butter (no substitutes), softened
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons almond extract

DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan, combine cornstarch and water until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Refrigerate for 1 hour. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in almond extract. Add cornstarch mixture and beat until sugar is dissolved and frosting is fluffy. Frost cake immediately; store in the refrigerator.

i used a serving size of 4. instead of 1.4 cup butter, i used 1/8. lso, i used unsalted butter.

I was looking for a quick and easy frosting recipe without egg and this look easy enough but I feel it was too buttery making it consistency too thin and not fluffy. Instead of almond extract I used vanilla.
