Very good- you can really taste the vanilla! The middle was a bit soggy. Very filling.

This is the best French Toast recipe..wasn't soggy {my old recipe was always a little on the soggy side..Not this one! The flour must be the secret ingredient]. The only changes I made was the serving size,I used the 'calculate' to 6 servings instead of 12 servings. I probably could ate all the 12 servings..LOL! Then I served it w/syrup and sprinkled powder sugar on top..Yum Yum!! Glad I gave this recipe a try.I Thanks for sharing a great recipe!!! this is a Keeper!

This french toast was wonderful and EASY. Made this for a special b'fast in bed for Valentine's day and we absolutely loved it! Took others suggestion and sprinkled the cinnamon instead of adding to batter because it floats even when whisked together. Once the toast was done, we used syrup and powdered sugar to top the toast and it was FABULOUS! Great, easy recipe. Will use again and again.

I would have to say that I will use this recipe from now on. I used a loaf and a half of bread, and it was all gone. A rave review from around my table!

This recipe turned out GREAT! I made it today (valentine's day)for my husband and he and I loved it!!! I used Challah bread and PAM butter flavor instead of the oil. I got 6 pieces instead of 12. Maybe because the challah bread is bigger than regular sandwich bread. I will be making this recipe again and again!!! Thanks for posting it :o)

We added less milk, as it was getting seemingly too "thin" for a batter. how fabulous -- thanks!

This French Toast recipe is wonderful. I use my home made bread for it and it turns out perfect. I usually have to double the recipe for my family but I do not double the eggs and it is still wonderful.

Scaled to 4 servings was only enough for 3 slices of bread. Make sure you make more than I did :). It was delicious though.

A wonderful recipe - simple, inexpensive, ingredients that most have on hand, and delicious. I love crispy food and the flour seemed to add a crisp coating to the bread. Thanks so much!

Pretty good. I followed it exactly, but next time I'll use bread that's a little stale. That's a great tip I saw just now from another reviewer.

I always struggle with French toast...this recipe was delicious! It got two thumbs up from my 2 year old and 5 year old (who had seconds!). I used wheat bread, and while it still tasted great I would probably use a thicker bread next time.

I used leftover challah bread, and it was perfect. If you don't like french toast that tastes "eggy", this is the recipe for you. However, we had the same problem other reviewers did: we only got four thick pieces of toast out of this recipe. Which was fine since there were just two of us, but larger families might want to double the recipe.
