This was my first time making french toast and it was a hit!! No left overs, my kids and husband gobbled them all up! I made it exactly as the recipe says. Will definitely make this again and again. :)

This recipe is so very close to what you will get in a fine cafe. It's pretty good and easy also. I always add a bit more cinnimon. Thanks for the recipe, Bonnie

1 batch only made enough for 9 regular slices of bread. I was short quite a bit of batter. Tasted good but I will stick to my other recipe.

Fantastic! I have a very picky family and it was loved by all. I've been looking for a new recipe for french toast and this is it. I think the flour makes all the difference.

Quite delicious! There were only two of us so I resized the proportions to make 4 slices, but then had to double the egg mixture to have enough moisture for all of the bread. We also subbed rice milk for the normal milk and doubled the cinnamon and vanilla. I spread a bit of raspberry-blueberry jam on and it was lovely. My tip: use a large non-stick frying pan to avoid mushy slices.

Wow! My family loved this, my 3 year old thought I made her cake it was so yummy. I did have to add more milk, one more egg and a extra dash of vanilla and cinnamon to get to all the bread. Used up the white bread (my mom got it for us--we use wheat) and then topped it with fresh berries and powdered sugar. It didn't even need syrup!

Delicious recipe! I also sprinkle the cinnamon directly onto the pieces of bread- not mixed into the batter. Cook over medium/low heat to make sure inside is cooked and not soggy while outside doesn't burn.

I know that today of all days I shouldn't have been cooking but you know a mothers job is never done. I am not one to make french toast, couldn't even tell you when I have. I used the Texas toast and sprinkled the finished product with cinnamon and confectioners sugar...we loved it. My husband was excited (he loved french toast) the kids as well, they didn't even use syrup. Thanks...Jennifer

Pretty good. Came out a little better than just not using the flour. I used whole wheat and will probably throw together quick french toast like this from now on...

Great recipe and easy to make! I made some substitutions: pancake mix for flour since we had run out, brown sugar instead of the white sugar and it still came out great! I intend to use regular flour next time but for now it was great.

A winner! My stepson ate it all up and declared they were as good as my pancakes (which he asks for EVERY weekend). I think I'll make some more of this french toast today! So good, syrup isn't even necessary.

This recipe is certainly a keeper. Easy to make. Tastes fantastic. Just a bit different than the traditional french toast recipe - and it makes a big difference in taste.
