Just tried this and it's amazing! I used Van de Kamp's French toast bread. I added 1/8 tsp of nutmeg to the batter (personal preference). It came out crispy on the outside and it wasn't gooey at all on the inside, perfect! I made a basic peach reduction to replace syrup and I am in love! My roommate generally doesn't like sweet things but he cleaned his plate and went back for seconds! Will definitely make again.

This was wonderful! I used cinnamon toast instead of regular bread. Better than a restaurant!

Good recipe overall. Especially if you don't have the cream on hand for the French Toast Stars recipe, which I believe to be the best. I will use this recipe again though, because it was good, I usually have ingredients on hand, and it was lower cal than the other. Thank you for a very good recipe!

We doubled the cinnamon because we are big cinnamon people but the beauty of this recipe is that it is so easy to change to suit different families tastes. I also love the flour addition. I usually used pancake batter but that gave it a little too much of a cakey-ness.

I make mine exactly the same way except I use potato bread and use cake mix instead of plain flour. Try it using cake mix, it's delicious!

This is an awesome recipe for french toast. Usually I think french toast can be too eggy, but this was perfect! I did not change a thing with the recipe either.
