This recipe made excellent French toast: nice and fluffy on the inside, not too egg-y, and not too heavy. My kids inhaled them. Thanks!

My family loves this recipe. I usually use brown sugar instead of white, but either is good.

Excellent recipe! My kids love it and it's really easy to make. The only thing I change is the amount of vanilla I add. I don't think you can ever have too much vanilla!

Served this to my 4 grandkids on Saturday, all of them picky eaters. Sunday morning they requested it again. Had a few pieces left over the first day, left them on a plate. Hubby gobbled them up cold several hours later. Excellent recipe, thanks for sharing

These were perfect even with sandwich bread! I made these yesterday with the Creamy Hot Cocoa recipe from this site and my kids were in heaven! I always ask them to rate the recipe and my youngest daughter who is VERY picky said FANTASTIC! I'm sure these would be even better with the bread called for in the recipe, but I couldn't wait to make these. Thank you SO much for a great french toast recipe!

I love this recipe! I'm assuming the "secret ingredient" is the flour? Crispy around edges and light & fluffy on the inside...it doesn't get much better than this. Thanks Bonnie!

I am in love with this recipe. I have made it three days in a row and have not gotten tired of it yet. I followed the recipe exactly and the only thing I changed was adding more cinnamon. I will never use another French Toast recipe again. It was light and fluffy and reminded me of the ones you get at the restaurants.

Unfortunately I tried this recipe using regular sandwich bread, but I still felt that the recipe was great for making french toast! What I enjoyed the most was how well you can taste the cinnamon, which reminded me of the french toast I eat at my favorite breakfast restaurant. Next time, I will try it with thick slices of bread!

I'm one that loves giving out good reviews, but I just really couldn't honestly give this one a 4 or 5. It could have been something I did, because I'm not a very experienced cook, but this French Toast just turned out mushy with no flavor. :( I didn't change anything in the recipie either, so I don't know.

This is the BEST french toast ever! It's exremely easy and comes out perfect. I make it using texas toast and serve w/ maple syrup or just some strawberries and whip cream. Yum!

Best French Toast Recipe I have ever tried. I used Challah Bread sliced 1-2" thick. I added 1tb more of sugar and ts cinnamon. Perfect yield for 12, not soggy at all!

This is a great recipe for French Toast!!! My family says it tastes like eating candy!!! The only change I made was to mix the cinnamon with the flour first.

I have made this twice now. LOVE IT. I add 1 vanilla bean to the batter and i also add 1/4 cup half&half OR 1/4 cup heavy whip to 3/4 cup 2% milk - just a personal preference. Perfect as is! My husband, and two (picky) sons loved it. thanks!

Absolutely fabulous! The best french toast I've ever had. Plus, the family loved it! I followed the recipe as written. Keep stirring egg mixture as cinammon will settle at the bottom of the bowl.
