Flourless Chocolate Cake II Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 14)

I try to never do this, but I had less than a tablespoon of cocoa powder so I had to make an adjustment. I followed another reviewers suggestion of all chocolate squares, so 8 in total. Ok, I lied, I also didn't have foil, so no water bath either..sheesh eh? I did use the the scant amount of cocoa i had to 'flour' the pan :-) What I would like to say is this versatile and exceptional recipe, still turned out, rich, smooth and amazing served warm. I would do the hard chocolate glaze for company, just to pretty it up a touch, but casual and just for two, go ahead...eat it from the pan lol. Big thanks to the original poster, this is a 'top shelf' recipe if ever there was one.

I like this recipe using all chocolate and no cocoa powder. no need to use a water bath and stuff like other recipes call for. I had a hard time getting the cake to release from the pan so i am going to try grease/cocoa powdering it as before but also line the base with a piece of greased parchment paper.

Perfect recipe! I did not use cocoa powder but added extra chocolate and substituted stevia for sugar so that my mother could eat it on her birthday and still obey her ketogenic diet. Everything tastes better guilt free!

This was to die for! I followed the recipe as written. I took extra care to very slowly add the eggs as tossing them all in at once into hot chocolate batter will almost cook the eggs. Adding slowly gave me a lovely smooth consistency, not a gritty brownie one. I made it with a raspberry coulis to drizzle on top and whipped cream on the side.

Really yummy and low in carbs. I used sugar free chocolate bars (chocoperfection) and also Splenda Sugar Blend (increased to 1/3 cup plus 2 T) and poured the batter into mini muffin pans. They were very hard to get out though even though I did dust the pans with cocoa powder. Next time I will spray the pans with Pam.

I made two of these and layered them with a fluffy white icing for my Mom's birthday, and it was a big hit. I was impressed that the cakes worked out so nicely because of the substitutions I made- I only had milk chocolate, used splenda, and substituted table syrup for vanilla. I was thinking about not using cocoa after reading other reviews, but ended up going ahead with it, and actually really liked the texture. Thanks!

This was soooo good. I love cake and was really bummed when I found out that I can't eat it anymore....until I found this recipe!! I made and put the leftovers in the ref over night covered and it was even better. Next time I make this I'm going to make it the night before.

Delicious! Very rich and choclatey, which I love. A little difficult to get out of the pan, but I got so many compliments on this cake. I served it with creme fraiche and macerated strawberries. Fantastic and very easy to make. Plus one of my friends can't eat gluten and she was so happy to hear that it was gluten free - she hadn't had cake in years she said!

I made this cake for a girlfriend of mine who has stomach problems and cannot have gluten. I made it exactly how the recipe says to and it was delicious!! I put the mix in mini muffin molds and they were like little brownie bites. I even made a whipped cream cheese frosting to put on top and it was even better!! I recommend this recipe for anyone who is looking for a simple easy to make cake!

Oh my god! This is AMAZING! I gotta admit, I was a little skeptical.... it sounds like it could be runny, but it wasn't! It was so good!!! Got rave reviews from my family :)
