This was great - I did not have any water chestnuts but sauteed a little celery with the onion for a little texture. It worked well and we're keeping this recipe to have often. Thanks for sharing!

This was delicious. A definite keeper. I followed the recipe exactly except I did not have pimento, so I substituted with some red bell pepper and a little red pepper flakes. I thought the water chestnuts add a wonderful crunchy texture.

Made this for my family tonight, and it was great. Being from the south, I'm a critic of any seafood dish, and this one met up to my standards. The only changes I made to this recipe were: I roughly chopped the cooked shrimp and water chestnuts, and I added just a touch more salt to the recipe. Other than that, this was a fairly simple and delicious recipe.

Loved this one, as did the rest of the family. Excellent. Didn't have any water chestnuts and I used peas instead. Followed the rest of the recipe as printed.

I never made a seafood casserole before, but this was so easy and tasted so great. I used imitation crab meat and frozen shrimp, and next time I might add some kind of white fish. The only thing I will leave out next time is the water chestnuts- apparently no one in my house likes them!

This recipe was easy and delicious. The water chestnuts added a nice crunch. I used two cups of skim milk because I didn't have the light cream but it came out just fine. I also used brown rice to be healthier but next time I think I'll try this over noodles.

I rate recipes by if my husband asks me to make it again or not--this one was a yes! I made a few substitutions: imitation crab (cheaper), green onions, no parsley, and mozarella instead of cheddar. Pretty good overall!
