I made this for my Christmas party and everyone loved it! Within the first 5 minutes I had requests for the recipe. The only thing I changed was I used 1/2 mayo and 1/2 sour creaminstead of the full amount of mayo so it is a little lighter

This is the BEST spinach dip recipe I've ever tried! And I've made at least a dozen spinach dips from this site. I'll experiment no further. I always carefully go through the reviews to see if I should make any alterations. Well, I started off halving the cream cheese like other reviews suggested. But when I mixed it together, it was NOT appealing with the 1/2 cup of mayo. So... I added the 2nd block. WAY better! Not too cheesy at all. I had planned on adding the recommended sour cream... but based on the taste so far, that just wouldn't have gone together all that well. So I skipped that. And then I proceeded to add cayenne pepper, like so many others. Well, that was my only mistake with the recipe! It added an unnecessary flavour that detracted from the taste. So what I'm trying to get across is that this recipe is perfect the way it's written!! The ONLY thing I did differently is add 1/4 cup Miracle Whip & 1/4 cup of Helmann's mayo instead of just mayo. I think this really added the "zip" others felt was missing. Thanks for the wonderful recipe!

This recipe did not go over very well. It was okay, just not great. For one thing, it was a little too garlicky for us. I decreased the lemon juice in half, but the dip still had too lemony of a taste for us. I am not sure what this recipe needed, but it needed something. Even though many said this was better than restaurant versions, I do not agree. The restaurants I have gone to had much better spinach artichoke dips.

The perfect recipe!! We add two extra garlic cloves, and the cooking time is a little off. It always takes us about 40-45 minutes to bake.

Good dip! However, I did the advice of others and cut the cream cheese in half and added sour cream. It turned out delicious, but still a little cheesy. I'll have to play with it a little more next time I make it.

Way to much of a cream cheese taste. I would not make again.

I love this! For the last couple of years I have used a different spinach/artichoke dip recipe, but this was MUCH MUCH MUCH better. Even my mother, who claims not to like artichokes, enjoyed it. This is a new tradition in our house.

This was good but just not favorite way of making spinach artichoke dip. Only about 1/2 got eaten at my dinner party and usually this is the first dip to go.

Very very good. One of my spinach artichoke loving friends told me it was the best one she's ever had and better than any restaurant! I subbed one pack of cream cheese for a small container sour cream. Thank you and I will make this again for sure!

This was an excellent recipe and even tasted well when it cooled off. I did double up on the garlic as we like garlic and I cut down to less than half of the lemon juice.

Very good. Dont heat for too long or it will dry out. You can fix by stiring in more mayo.

I found this recipe too thick. It taste too much like the cream cheese. I like a more creamier dip.
