My 16 yr old daughter made this tonight and it was delicious! We prefer our Sugar Snap Peas not as crisp and boiled the peas a little longer than the recipe recommended. We also used ham sandwich meat which we happen to have on hand and used olive oil. Wonderful and easy!

Like most others, I changed this to go better with ham. Used about a half tablespoon each of EVOO and light butter as we like this mixture on vegetables, and used used half of a shallot instead of garlic. Did not use the ham and salt and peppered to taste. Cooked the snap peas in the microwave for 3 minutes then tossed with the sauted onion and thyme. Will definitely make again because it is tasty but more importantly easy to change to fit better with whatever is for dinner. Thanks for sharing.

This was a good recipe. I forgot to salt & pepper at the end...so it might be 5 stars with a little seasoning! I will definitely make this again.

This was my first time to cook sugar snap peas. I really liked the taste. I will use a little less thyme next thyme---I mean, time :) !

Made this for a Mother's Day function. This was just okay to me. Nothing to rave about.

I followed the recipe pretty closely except that I eyeballed the measurements in my rush to get this cooked quickly. I thought the thyme would be too much, but it ended up being wonderful. I did sub olive oil for the veg. and season salt for the salt & pepper. I will be making this again!

I've never had sugar snap peas before this, but I must say these were really yummy. We used small pieces of turkey instead of ham and it was very good!

Just like the above post we didn't have any ham... or raw bacon. We did have real bacon bits (not the crunchy kind) so I used that. I also added about a teaspoon of lemon juice right before they were finished. Fresh snap peas make all the difference.

The entire family liked this dish. I didn't have any cooked ham, so I cut up some raw bacon and sauted it with the garlic and thyme. It tasted great!!
