This is a great marinade. I used teriyaki instead of soy sauce, and omitted the smoke flavor. 6 minutes on each side @ 400 on the grill, was a perfect medium-rare.

The only thing I do differently is to use fresh garlic. My husband, not a huge fan of marinated beef, Loves this!

I tried it with beef and chicken. It's the best marinade I have found so far. I use less oil than it calls for. We love it.

This was absolutley delicious. I didn't have an open bottle of BBQ sauce but I did have packets of Arby's BBQ sauce which worked perfect. I marinated this for 2 days which was perfect. I would make it again!! Thank you :)

We loved this simple recipe. I left out the liquid smoke and used green onions instead of the dried onions, because that was what I had on hand. I tossed a frozen london broil into the bag with the marinade and let it thaw & marinate overnight. After grilling I let the steak rest 10 minutes before using my electric knife to cut thin slices against the grain. I will make this again.

This was "OK". I was hoping for a bar-b-q taste (hence the reason for trying this - the ingredients suggested the same). Made Friday night for my bf and I along with ultimate twice baked potatoes (by PONYGIRL64) and corn on the cobb. I'd give 5 stars for ease of preparation (really, it's as simple as mixing, adding meat and marinating - can't get any simpler than that!), but can really only give 3 b/c I didn't care for the taste at all. As my bf said, "too much soy" in the marinade. Followed directions almost to a T.... My only changes were to halve the recipe for the two of us and broil the steak instead of grilling it. Wasn't terrible, just not for us. Thanks anyways!

I actually made this without the liquid smoke and it was very good. Very easy and very flavorful.

my wife made this for me but used round steak from the freezer. Excellent. Tasted very similar to a beef dish from a fancy chinese restuarant in our area.
