This recipe was AMAZING and super easy. I tossed the cabbage in the sauce (saving some to add on top) and threw some carrots in there for color. A little dollop of pico and some fresh avocado slices to finish the assembled tacos. Nice n simple. The best part was that I could get everything ready in advance and then quickly fry the fish when people arrived. A trick to good, crispy, and NON oily fried fish is to lightly dust your pieces with flour, coat in the batter and then let them sit on a wire rack for about 20 min (this allows the batter to seal around the fish a bit, protecting it from getting saturated with oil when you fry. ANyways, they were BOMB and easy to add a personal touch to.
