I made the recipe exactly as written, except for oregano which i did not have on-hand. The white sauce MADE this dish. I want to dip absolutely EVERYTHING in it. So darn delish! This was my first experience with beer batter. I did enjoy the fish, but will probably make this recipe using grilled fish next time. The beer batter was a bit much, even though I tried to go lightly with my coating. Overall, the meal was a success and, of course, the white sauce a HUGE hit. I will be making it again.

Superb! Instead of beer batter, use pancake batter. I whipped up left over salmon tacos in about 10 mins.

I am sure this recipe is great with the right fish. I do not care for fried fish so i used broiled cod. Did not care for the taste of the sauce. I think i will leave this recipe to the professionals. Aka; order it from a resturant!

Both batterfried the fish and grilled, and liked them each way. Substituted ginger ale for the beer in the recipe and they still turned out wonderful!

I'm not typically a fan of fish tacos but these are amazing! The sauce has a great kick too! My husband has continuously asked me to keep making these!

To be honest, I also used frozen battered fish, but the rest of the recipe is awesome! As other reviewers have said, the white sauce really makes it.

This is a very good and simple recipe. I added some extra spices (mainly cumin and hot pepper), black beans, sliced avocado, red bell pepper (to the slaw), fresh salsa, cilantro, and lots of lime. For the fish breading I used brown rice flour (instead of AP), 1/2 c beer, 1 egg, a dash of brown sugar, and flavored it with lots of cumin, hot pepper, and some salt. FANTASTIC!! I highly recommend giving this a try!
