This recipe is delicious, I am very pleased with the outcome! I love corn so I just had to add some, and insead of cod I used fresh caught smoked whitefish which tasted absoultly wonderful. I recomend this to anyone who loves a good chowder.

I made this recipe, but with a few changes (so am rating my changed version). Used 2 cans reduced fat cream of mushroom soup (no evap milk)as I had no mushrooms on hand. Added 1/2 of a 15 oz can of creamed corn (the other half I used for corn muffins that I made to serve with this chowder). I added some montreal steak seasoning to it along with black pepper. The overall taste is a bit mushroom-y so I might back off one can in the future. Used Tilapia as the fish and new potatoes and red onions. Didn't need the flour and didn't have clam juice either. Enjoy!

We enjoyed this soup last night while the rain poured down and the wind howled. It is delicious comfort food that's good for you too. The recipe seems to tolerate tweaking very well. I used only one can of (fat-free) evaporated milk, added a can of chopped clams, upped the mushrooms and spices, and substituted haddock for cod. My husband and I rate dishes on a scale from 1-10 and he said this is a ten. It made a big batch but he said no, we should not share it with the neighbors.

I used half the fish, which was plenty, and twice the celery, along with a salt-free, homemade version of Old Bay. fabulous -- my seven year old had three bowl-fulls!

very easy and tasty recipe! i added a handful of small seared scallops when i seasoned it. also, used two small cans of clams instead of the clam juice....i drained the juice from both cans to use with the flour and dumped the clams in at the last step. be careful to not over-cook the potatoes.

This was so easy to make and has been loved by everyone! Rich and creamy - everything I was looking for in a fish chowder. I did not have Old Bay, so substituted spices. I also added lots of differnt fish, shrimp and clams to it. Yum!

Tasty, easy recipe. I added a can of chopped clams and omitted the mushrooms. You could probably substitute some or all of the fish for clams or other seafood if you wanted to.

Delicious! Better than I've ever had in any restaurant. I didn't have the Old Bay seasoning and just used salt and pepper. Very quick and easy too.

I loved this recipe! It was fabulous and I'll use it again! I did add a little more Old Bay, and used white pepper instead of black. And when I reheated some later, I added just a touch of Sherry, which made it even more awesome!

I made this with mahi mahi and added a can of chopped clams. I came up short on the clam juice so I made up the volume with fat free half and half, and used just 1 can of milk. Definitely add lots more Old Bay...will make again, was a big hit with friends!

We loved this chowder. Changes I made included adding diced carrots in lieu of mushrooms. Increased the old bay seasoning as suggested. Also I had learned from another chowder recipe that you can add the whole piece of fish (at least if you are using a flaky white fish) and you can easily break it apart as it cooks. The second time I made this I used fingerling potatoes with the skin on. Quick, easy and more vitamins!

It needs a little more Old Bay and some pepper, so don't hold back on the spices.
