Love the taste. Wish I had more time to marinate. Cooked it on a cedar plank. Very tasty. Good marinade for steak too.

I had never been a real friend of salom, but I have one kid that loves fish, so every year for his birthday, I do a new fish recipe. I picked this one last year, followed it exactly, and I have been totally won over with salmon. I now have a freezer full of it. I have simplified the recipe down to a basic rub of dry ingredients with the same flavours that is on hand at all times ( and work well on pork ribs or roasts too ) done it on a cedar plank....which is amazing. Overall............it's a winner.

I grilled some of these babies up for an end-of-summer BBQ, and it was well-loved by everyone. I even got one person who doesn't like fish, and one person who doesn't like spice to eat it, and they were the first to grab seconds. This is also a great dish to prepare when camping; I've left the salmon in the marinade for about a day--we prepared everything right before we left and ate it the next night. It was super easy and a wonderful treat.

Excellent. Followed the recipe exactly. I recommend using fresh wild salmon. The marinade made the salmon tasty and of course the grilled flavor can't be beat. You could get someone who doesn't even like fish to like this dish.

This was easily the best fish dish I have ever had. I sent it out to all of my friends and family. Everyone that tries it raves about it. This is what we call in my house a definite "Do Over." I added some white wine and reduced the marinade like some people suggested. This was lick the plate good.

I used olive oil instead of peanut oil and marinated for 3 hours. Also, I heated the marinade + some sake wine and added to the salmon when I served it and it tasted amazing.

For a flavorful treat, this can't be beat! The only time I would not use this is when we have tender, super fresh line-caught salmon (from a friend or relative's fishing trips). Then, sometimes we like the salmon flavor itself to stand alone. Otherwise, this is the recipe!

This was really good. I didn't add the brown sugar since my husband doesn't like the savory/sweet combo. I let the fish marinade over night and I baked it for 20 minutes at 425. It was perfect and very yummy! Thanks!

Wow!! I marinaded the salmon skin side up to make sure the flesh was sitting in the liquid, and marinaded for about 3 hours, and I thought it was still very flavorful. I subbed vegetable oil for the peanut oil, and only used a few shakes of red pepper flakes. This was great, I'm excited to make it again! Served w/ Gourmet Mushroom Risotto from this site, needless to say it was a 5-star dinner!

This turned out good, but I thought it should have had more flavor. Firecracker made me think it was going to be spicy.

I followed this recipe exactly except for using olive oil instead of peanut oil. The salmon came out great. My wife said it was the best salmon she had ever had. I did marinate it overnight as other reviewers suggested.

This was probably the best salmon I have ever had. I didn't have any balsamic vinegar so I just used apple cider vinegar. Next time i make it I will make it exactly as the recipe states.
