This is one of the best marinades! I've used it on Salmon, Ahi and Chicken- great everytime!

This is a favorite of my husband. So good! I did substitute olive oil for the peanut oil, though.

This is by far my favorite fish recipe! The marinade is also very good with talapia and mahi mahi.

I thought this would be more flavorful than it was. I didn't have time to let it marinate as long as it says to in the recipe, so that may have made a difference. It was still good, but it wasn't quite what I expected.

Delicious-- I grilled mine on some sturdy foil. It was so good. I reduced the oil a bit, just enough to spread out enough to coat the fish.

The recipe was very good. It was easy to make. I left mine in the marinade longer than the recipe called for and it was wonderful.

TOTALLY AWESOME!!! ...as the young ones would say. Taste fine if you marinate and broil in oven about 20+ mins. It still tasted yummy. As suggested by others, if you cannot marinate for 4 hrs, then do at least 30 mins...however, you may need to warm the leftover mixture in a pot and spoon about tsp. over top of each piece before serving. Reduce red pepper for kids; otherwise, no substitutions but olive oil, if needed. A DEFINITE KEEPER!!!

Great recipe, and easy to prepare. I used fresh ginger instead of ground and baked at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes. I also followed the suggestion to let it marinade overnight. Will make again!

I can't cook. I never learned and I've never been interested in learning. With that said, I was told to bring a main dish for our department Christmas party potluck cooking contest. This recipe looked delicious and got great reviews so I gave it a whirl. I WON FIRST PLACE IN THE COOKING CONTEST!!!! That is irony at its best. If I can make this, ANYONE can make this....and EVERYONE loved it. Alterations I made: I marinated it over night in a ziplock bag. I used pureed ginger instead of powdered ginger. I used balsamic vinegar that had been aged in oak for 4 years. I baked it (at 400F for 25min covered, 5 min uncovered). Also, I basted it a few times for the last 10 minutes. Additions: I left the marinade at the bottom of the glass dish and added steamed zucchini to the spaces in between the salmon.

One of the moistest and flavorful pieces of salmon I have made. My husband loves salmon (me not so much) so I am always looking for a good recipe to make. This is it! I have made it with and without the sesame oil and and onions and it has been great either way!

Love the taste. Wish I had more time to marinate. Cooked it on a cedar plank. Very tasty. Good marinade for steak too.

I had never been a real friend of salom, but I have one kid that loves fish, so every year for his birthday, I do a new fish recipe. I picked this one last year, followed it exactly, and I have been totally won over with salmon. I now have a freezer full of it. I have simplified the recipe down to a basic rub of dry ingredients with the same flavours that is on hand at all times ( and work well on pork ribs or roasts too ) done it on a cedar plank....which is amazing. Overall............it's a winner.
