As my Mom says when I first made this, "You've perfected the recipe." This is really the best recipe I've used ever. However, I did some changes: I used 1/2 cup of chopped water chestnuts instead of cabbage (for crunch!) and added 1 additional clove of garlic. And I didn't cook the meat first -- I placed the raw pork in the wrap, and fried them a little longer (medium heat 'til it's golden brown). And everyone (Filipinos and non-Filipinos alike) LOVE IT!

I used season ground pork to give it more flavor. It turned out very yummy.

These were good however they needed more flavor in the meat. I added sesame oil, oyster sauce, minced ginger root, some red pepper flakes & chopped cilantro to the meat mixture after it cooled. Made 25 lumpia and all were eaten. Used sweet chile dipping sauce.

I have to give this recipe a 5. I love this recipe! The only problem I had was finding Lumpia wrappers here in Ohio, so I bought springroll wrappers, which didn't work at all. I made a tester and it fell apart, so I form the filling into a meat loaf and it turned out amazingly well! So now, as much as I love lumpia, I love lumpia meatloaf even more haha Thanks for the recipe!

These were sooo yummy. Took them to a superbowl party. Only issue i had was they were huge, more like an eggroll. Should have filled them with less filling but they still rocked!

These were wonderful!!! I was born and raised in Hawaii and was raised by filipino godparents. They used to make this for me all the time... this recipe is very close... I browned the pork with some garlic pepper.... Everyone loved them!!! Thank you...

This is a great recipe for lumpia. I will season it a little more next time. I am actually going to buy a large food processor just to process everything instead of chopping. I found that the meat was much better after cooked and then processed. My son loves these... at 15 months old he runs around munching on them! Thanks for the recipe.

I thought it was ok. I followed the recipe exactly. I think I was looking for more of a Bang! My husband liked it, but not as much as egg rolls or spring rolls that I make.

I messed it up. I accidentally bought spring roll wraps and they came out like egg rolls. They were just not real lumpia. I didnt add carrots or cabbage either i think this made it bad too.. I am going to try it again and see how it comes out.

These are delicious, a little time consuming, but WELL worth the effort and time. My husband and I made these for our neighborhood 8-8-08 (Olympics party) party and they were a huge hit !! Definitely recommend trying these.

These are wonderful! We are a military family and have been lucky enough to meet several Philipino friends over the years, and I must say these are as good or better than any others I've ever eaten. Great served with Jafran banana sauce!
