I usually don't review a recipe that I tweak way beyond the original but this was such a great recipe I just had to. I grilled three ears of fresh corn till crisp tender. I sauteed the onion and red pepper in some olive oil till tender then added the corn. Used the juice and zest of one lime and added some red pepper flakes. Grilled the Tilapia for about 8 mins and added sour cream, tomatoes and some mexican mixed cheese. DELICIOUS! thank you!

I am so happy to have found a fish taco without all the breading!! even the teenagers loved it. Thank you!

The salsa was lovely to look at, but was a little bland. I think cooking the corn and adding black beans would be great, as was suggested. We adjusted the seasoning considerably and it was still plenty hot! The salsa takes a while to prepare, so we might not make this very often, but it is a very yummy fish taco.

Fantastic! I really just eye balled everything and it turned out perfect! Spicy. I had the fish on its own and added a little lime juice as I was cooking. Fantastic!

I put the review for these tacos on another recipe! These were excellent. Only gave four stars for the portion size of the spices, but excellent!

This is my favorite fish taco recipe. I think it is outstanding! I find it spicy, but i love the flavor it gives the fish. The only change I make is using flour tortillas instead of corn, just because it I prefer them.

Following the advice of some other members I went easy on the spices. Big mistake...the fish was extremely bland! The salsa was good, not great in my humble opinion. Decent, but won't make again.

This was not what I expected at all... the salsa had too much onion, I would definitely cut it down a lot next time... It also wasn't very hot or juicy. I think I would add a jalepeno and maybe a tomato next time...

Scrumptious recipe! I didn't use salt but did add black beans and scallions to the crunchy corn salsa as well as melted shredded cheese (mexican blend) to the tortilla. I also sautéed the fish in a little butter instead of olive oil and just added the cayenne and black pepper while sautéing, and it stuck just fine. Yum!

I'd actually give this 3-1/2 stars if I could. We followed the seasoning part of this recipe to the letter. The fish was so ungodly hot it ruined the flavor of everything it came in contact with! Now, I like spice. My dh LOVES spice, to the point he likes to add habaneros to alot of his meat merinades, so it isn't that we can't take the heat. There is just way too much of it. The salsa, on the other hand was fantastic. I actually added some cucumber since I couldn't get jicama, and I added some black beans & diced tomatoes since I had them on hand. The salsa was the saving grace of this recipe and is the only reason we will be making this again- without the spices on the fish. We can add our own flavor to the salso to add heat and still actually get the flavor of the fish.

Awesome! I scaled down the recipe for 4 servings. Also, instead of grilling, I broiled on High, 3 minutes on each side. Used sea salt, and it was WAY too much. Next time I will cut it in half. Other than that, this was fantastic and we will be making it again and again and again!

I guessed this would be WAY too spicy and made the following changes: Substitute chili powder instead of cayenne, add 1/2 tsp cayenne, use 1/2 Tbsp pepper. When grilling fish, I placed aluminum on grill, cooked on medium/low and did NOT flip fish as they became too flaky and would have fallen apart. I also grilled some sliced chicken breasts with the same olive oil and spice mix for the non fish eaters in the family, and the chicken tasted equally good with these spices. Had to slice chicken breast into thin chunks a bit smaller than frozen chicken tenders so they would cook at the same rate as the fish. This was soo yummy!

I despise bell pepper and have never bought a jicama in my entire life, so I substituted an avocado... even with the changes this was awesome! I could eat it every night of the week.

This was really good! I'd never had jicama before and was pleasantly surprised! I added a can of rinsed and drained black beans and a diced tomato. This made SO much salsa!! I would halve the salsa recipe or double the fish! Make sure you dice the veggies to about 1/4" or less. I didn't and it was very chunky salsa. Also don't cube the fish! It basically disintegrated and we had salsa topped with fish flakes... :)

Great tacos! To the salsa I added a large tomato and a small can of black beans and to the fish I added cumin, as suggested by another reviewer. Find the jicama! It's an awesome, fresh addition. Wonderful tacos with just a little kick. Will make again.

I was excited to try jicama for the first time. I was disappointed in this recipe, and I think it was mostly because of the flavor of the jicama in the salsa. Now that I think about it, many reviewers mentioned that they couldn't find jicama in the store and omitted it. I think this recipe would be much better without it. The tacos were also a little dry. I will keep searching for the perfect fish taco recipe.
