This dish was amazing! The flavor hits your mouth the moment you put a bite in. I cut the cayenne down to 1/2 tsp and there was still enough spice to make it lively. I used 16 oz regular spaghetti and should have doubled the sauce. The recommendation to use more Parmesan is right on. Plus I used two heaping tbs of pre-minced garlic. I added diced chicken and shrimp to make it more hearty. Will definitely be making this again!

Love this! I usually add some cooked shrimp to it, and add a bit more parmesan.

This has been added to the rotation at my house! The only changes I made were to chop the peppers into medium-size pieces rather than julienne. That way you get more bites with pepper in them. Also added a little more cayenne pepper, as we like it spicy, and I usually end up using a good bit more cheese than called for. I also took another user's advice last time and added the sour cream at the last minute and used a little less chicken broth. This did seem to give the sauce a creamier taste and texture, so I'll do that from now on. Thanks for a great recipe!

We ate this last night with oven baked tilapia. I used half the cayenne pepper called for and it was still plenty spicy. Everyone, including the 2 1/2- year-old cleaned theier plates. My husband suggested having it again with chicken. Next time I will take the advice of others and add the sour cream at the last minute.

tried this twice now. The cayenne taste is good with the bites with bell pepper. But really the sour cream needs to be added at the last minute as another reviewer suggested, b/c I think the sauce was bland/flat by simmering with sc. I had to add a few spoonfuls of cornstarch to thicken the sauce the second time I made it, and there was too much parmesan taste and richness the first time I made it. So I reduced the amount the second time.

I really liked this recipe! I was a little apprehensive about the amount of cayenne, so I used less and it was hot! But will make again.

YUMMY! This was very popular at my house last night! I added a pound of shrimp that I marinated in a little white wine, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic powder and cayenne for about 1 hour. I added this to the pan after cooking the peppers with garlic and cayenne but before the broth and sour cream. It was delicious! I also used just 1/2 t. of cayenne and it was the perfect amount of heat for us. Thank you so much!

I should have listened to other reviewers. This was waaaaay to hot for me to eat. I'm still giving it four stars because the rest of my family liked it even though it was pretty spicy. I probably would have liked it if my mouth wasn't on fire. I'll try it again with much less cayenne next time. I also added onions which everyone liked.

The only thing I would do differently would be to pour the sauce on top of the noodles instead of mixing together. It seemed pretty dry when I mixed them together, the noodles soaked up the sauce. I added chunks of turkey breast that I made before hand and also added in some onion, GREAT flavor. My hubby said it was good, I added more cayenne to my plate because I love spicy food.

The taste rates 5-stars, but for the modifications to the recipe, as many reviewers have noted. In summary: 1. I added chicken. I marinaded chopped up boneless breasts in olive oil, lemon juice, pepper, and lemon pepper for ~30mins. 2. I doubled the amount of garlic, and added onions both to the red pepper/cayenne and to the chicken (prepared separately) 3. I also added half a carton of finely chopped button mushrooms 4. I used approx. 3tbsp of sour cream (all I had on hand), but used all of the chicken broth. The sauce's consistency and taste were subtle and flavorful. Best of all, it's a pretty bachelor friendly meal.

I liked this recipe but my boyfriend didn't, so i gave it 4 stars. It was much spicier than i imagined, but still tasted good. We both like spice but he complained it was too spicy. I used the full amount of broth and let it cook down so it wasn't too thin. Since I liked it so much, I will try to revamp it to suit both our tastes next time. Will definitely make again!

There were no leftovers at our house tonight! I added sliced mushrooms and sweet onion to the red peppers. As other reviewers suggested, I only used 1/2 cup chicken broth. Since it was still a little more runny than I usually like, I sprinkled a little cornstarch while stirring to thicken it up a bit. With that said, this was a fabulous meal. We loved the spicy flavor and look forward to trying it with chicken sometime. Simple, quick, and, most importantly, delicious!

I followed the recipe exactly. I did cook chicken first and added at the end. It was very good. Served it with french bread and roasted garlic (which I am about to write a review on now)I reheated it today for lunch and added a drops of milk to cook on stove and tasted great. Fiance' said it was delicious.
