This was pretty good, although I added chicken and sliced mushrooms and served with whole wheat penne pasta instead of fettuccine.

Yummy! I never really measure anything, but I used everything this recipe calls for. I did add some spinach & italian seasoning. This was very good, I will make it again. I did add the broth to the peppers and garlic and let it cook down before adding the spinach then the sour cream. Thanks so much for the post!

This is a great dish. Very easy to prepare and similar to another dish on this website that calls for a sour cream sauce. I added onions to the bell peppers, about two cups of chopped chicken, and some corn starch to the sour cream to make the sauce thicker. Turned out great.

This pasta is delicious even without the parmesan cheese. I forgot to add it and didn't even realize it until much later b/c it tasted so good.

Very delicious and easy to make! I like spicy food, so I actually put in more cayenne pepper than the recipe called for and it's great. I also had one sad little uncooked chicken breast sitting in the fridge, so I cubed it and cooked it with the peppers.

This was very bland. It was simply noodles in warm sour cream. I wouldn't make this one again.

I read the other reviews about reducing the broth but I did not reduce it and I am glad. I also did not reduce the cayenne as we like the heat. I can see where it might be a bit much for some though. I followed the recipe for the sauce as written and everyone enjoyed it for dinner last night. The only change was that I served the sauce over the pasta rather than mixing it all together. Also sprinkled a little Italian seasoning over the top, adding an extra touch of color for a prettier presentation. I like the fact that this is a simple recipe that comes together quickly. That said, the flavor is good but not very complex. Served with a house salad and rosemary bread for dipping in the sauce.

I read the previous reviews before making this but was in a rush and forgot to use less cayenne pepper. WOW!!!! (And not in a good way!). It was too hot to even eat! My 9, 7, and 5 year olds wouldn't have any more than the required first bite - and, for once, I didn't question it! Way too much heat as written!!!!! (I even tried to dilute it with more chicken broth. Irrepairably spicy!!

REALLY good but rather spicy. I reduced the cayenne pepper to 1/2 tsp and it still had a good kick. But the flavor was fantastic!

really good! i actually had the opposite result from other reviewers -- too dry. also, this was my first try at using cayenne pepper EVER! and i think i added an extra dash that didn't have to be there. definitely will make this again, it's so easy!

Didn't follow the recipe but rather the idea. Used a can of chopped tomatoes in place of broth as I was trying to pack as much nutritious goodness as possible into the dish. Added a jar of mushrooms (drained) as well. Also used two spoonfuls of creme fraiche (available in Europe but not in the States as far as I know, is like sour cream but is smoother to cook with). Basically, the formula garlic+red pepper+cayenne+liquid and cream of any sort=really tasty. My boyfriend thought it was great, so we'll be using this idea again in the future. I look forward to a day when I'm out of chopped tomatoes, so I can try the recipe as written. Thanks for this.

Great recipe. I used fat-free sour cream for a healthier alternative, and it did not take away from the taste at all. Also added chicken breast, and like the other reviewers I used 1/2 cup chicken broth. I made this recipe for my kids eliminating the cayenne pepper and they loved it.

I followed the advice of others and cut down on the amount of broth that was used, and mine turned out too dry! We like our pasta to have a bit more sauce. Otherwise, this was GREAT! I added some chopped onions with the bell peppers, along with oregano and basil. I will definitely try this again, only using the given amount of broth.

I have made this recipe several times, but instead of the sour cream, the recipe I use calls for 1 cup whipping cream. (Obviously not as healthy, but it's delicious!) Last weekend instead of the peas and red peppers, I added quartered marinated artichoke hearts, quartered fresh mushrooms, chicken breast cut into chunks, and roasted red pepper cut into strips from Trader Joe's. It was fantastic!

I rough chopped my peppers into bite sized cubes and used penne...I think next time I'll dice the peppers, the penne is great, hold the sauce really well. The sauce is amazing, I added fresh ground black pepper and an all seasoning blend to the peppers (which I softened in olive oil)

I used red pepper flakes instead of cayenne b/c that is what I had on hand. You really can't go wrong with this recipe. Very good.
