Original Recipe Yield 6 to 8 servings
 

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced onion
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 2/3 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs

Directions

  1. Saute onions in butter or margarine until transparent. Place in 2-quart baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, beat eggs well. Stir in cream, and season with salt and pepper. Pour mixture over onions, and sprinkle cheese.
  3. Bake, uncovered, at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 15 to 20 minutes.
