I am a firm believer if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it. However this recipe is going to change that. As with others I was sucked din by the title. Followed recipe exactly. I did not care for these at all.

Terrific. I had a kitchen full of people oohing and aahing over these. This will be my new cookie recipe. Thanks so much.

I was worried these would be cake like, but I was NOT disspointed. These were chewy and very yummy! Don't over cook them. My husband LOVED them...

These were wonderful! Those who wrote bad reviews must have done something wrong. My husband just told me that he can't stop eating them and they're "a keeper". I can't remember the last time he said that about a new recipe! I think this is my new chocolate chip recipe.

Nope. The difference in this and my recipe is 1/2 cup more flour, mine bakes at 350, and the offensive baking powder. I've stuck to my recipe for so long I got sucked in by the title. The baking powder changed the texture to a thick, cake-like, non chewy, just "okay" cookie. The low heat needed to bake for about 20 minutes, and still just done. My cookies are even better the next day, in a ziploc with bread-these were drier, and tasted blander.

My family loved these. They said they reminded them of bakery cookies. I actually found the dough to be a little crumbly until I squeezed it into the ball (I also used large eggs). I'm sure I'll be making them again.

I was really disappointed. I MUST have done something wrong, but for the life of me can't figure out what. I measured everything EXACTLY. They came out very flat, not like the picture. I really loved the flavor and would like to make them again, but am cautious to do so. I used large eggs. I'm taking them to church tomorrow, and was disappointed, but my husband said they'd eat anything. True.

Good cookies, but it definitely depends on the pan you use as to the time needed to bake. Lighter pans need higher temp and longer cooking time and dark pans work with time and temp suggested.

ok, first off let me say i'm amazed!!!!! this recipe is EXACTLY what i have been looking for....my first batch just came out of the oven and they look perfect!!!! the bottoms are not at all burnt (i hate burnt bottoms on anything)and they smell fantastic! i put them in for exactly 15 minutes, and thats all they needed, the size is just right for what i was looking for, and only putting 8 on the pan at a time was a good idea, so that they dont touch. all in all, a great recipe, thank you so much for sharing!

I found these to be too dry and 'cake like' for my cookie tastes. The flavor was rather blah and surely needed something to liven them up a bit. Perhaps with a higher cooking temp they would supply the necessary crunchy edges and chewy center. I followed the recipe exactly even down to the baking time and was disappointed with my results. There are much better cookie recipes out there!

Recipe converts well to a 'reduced sugar' treat. I used Splenda brown sugar, Splenda white sugar, Hersheys SF chips and halved the recipe. Nice soft, chewy consistency, mega-sized. But, they were REALLY sweet (I had 'firmly' packed the brown sugar but will cut back on next batch.)

Beautifully, perfect, HUGE cookies! The only thing I did different was I lowered the amount of butter to 200g instead of 225g ( 1 cup minus 2 tblsp) because some of the reviews said they were too greasy. These didn't look greasy at all to me. They look perfect...though I haven't tried them yet (I did taste the dough though and that was yummy!). Thanks for the recipe.

An excellent recipe for chewy cookies. They keep well, if you have any leftovers. I made some large, as directed, but prefer them smaller so I can eat more and have more to share. Don't tell people you made them or they'll bug you for more.

Very yummy. I used my Pampered Chef 40 cookie scoop and baked for 14 minutes at 300 degrees. Turned out perfect. I think this is one of the best chocolate chip cookie recipes on the site and I have tried tons of them. Will definitely make again. Thanks for sharing!

These are definitely in my "TOP THREE" chocolate chip cookie recipes. I did use butter Crisco and a little bit less of the brown sugar (RAN OUT!). Baked for 19 minutes. Just the right texture - perfectly balanced crispiness and chewiness.

Okay, first really terrible name. Second, I will never make just 24 cookies from this recipe again. I found they just never really cook all the way through. VERY GOOD cookie. I don't know how often I would make these though. Maybe just for special occasions. ?? I wish I could rate these 3.5, I have made other recipes I like as much. I was expecting a phenomonal foolproof cookie with name like that, they just don't live up to the name.

"Wow", "the best" those are just some of the words out of my husband and kids mouth after their 1st bite. I was in search of a new recipe since my family said basiclly that my cookies all of a sudden "suck" I couldn't resist trying this recipe especially beacuse of the title. It holds true to it's name, large chewy cookies. There are a ton of choc. chip cookie recipes on this site you can't go wrong with this one.:)
