Favorite Chocolate Cookies
SUBMITTED BY:
Selena Redel
"'These crispy cookies, studded with white chocolate, are my husband's absolute favorite,' writes Selena Redel of Consort, Alberta. 'I often double the recipe and freeze half of the dough, so I can bake a warm batch in a jiffy.'"

These were so wonderful, fudgy and chewy in the middle, mmmm... I used white and red chunks, it is what i had around and it is close to V-day so they turned out pretty cute. Everyone loved them! Thanks for sharing!

These were delicious! They come out a little soft and then get crispy when they cool. I used semi-sweet chocolate chunks instead of white chocolate chips. Note to inexperienced bakers (like me!): make sure to use unsalted butter or your cookies will taste too salty.

I hate to be the first one to give them less than five stars, but since I've made sooo many different chocolate cookies, they are not some of the best, that's why a four, or 4 1/2 if possible is more appropriate. They are very good, but not the best I've made. I find that the best chocolate chip cookie recipes are the ones that use brown sugar either in addition to the white sugar, or instead of it. I also found that these do not spread much, so pressing them down slightly b4 bakng may be a good idea.

These taste EXCELLENT! I made them w/out nuts as a friend who would be eating them cannot have nuts. However, I believe the nuts would put these cookies over the edge and would make them the best I've ever had for a chocolate cookie with white chips! I baked for exactly 10 minutes - perfect timing.

Great cookies...I always underbake 2 minutes so they are chewy! I used Reese Peanut Butter cups chopped up instead of the chips. DELICIOUS!

Absolutely fabulous! Decadent treat! I liked them becuase I dont like soft cookies and these cookies are crispy to bite into and also fudgy chewy to the tongue. Instead of the white chocolate chips I used the chocolate & carmel swirled chips. A great treat!
