I did not care for this recipe. It was like that stuff from Nickelodean. I won't even attempt this one again. Sorry, I don't mean to offend.

This frosting turned out great! Used sugar-free pudding mix and orange juice (only thing on hand) with very nice results! Thanks!

One of the reviewers stated that this recipe did not work and that reviewer was wrong or did not follow the instructions. It was perfect!! I did exactly as the recipe called the first time I tried it and it was the best texture! The second time, I decided to use cheesecake pudding - I had to add a little more milk to get it to blend because for some reason it was too dry and kept creaping up the beaters. But using the milk I was able to thin it out and get it back to the right consistency. It also took color wonderfully and I used it for my son's first birthday cake. I will see if I can figure out how to submit a picture so that you can see how great it looked. One word of warning - if you mix sugar icing with this for decorating, it will cause some moisture issues (meaning, don't write on this icing with Wiltons until right before you present the cake).

I am a very experienced cook and have been using allrecipes.com for years with success. This is the first recipe that is totally unacceptable. I followed the recipe exactly except for substituting orange juice for grapefruit. The consistency was similar to cottage cheese and it was not spreadable. The whole mess had to be tossed in the trash. Please do not waste your time or ingredients on this frosting recipe.
