1 (16 ounce) package
white onion, chopped
green bell pepper, finely chopped
1 (16 ounce) jar
This was pretty good, though I did make a few minor changes. I added 3 cloves of garlic (minced) which I sauteed with the onion and pepper, and I added a bit of Italian seasoning to the sauce. After mixing everything together as in step 3, I put it in a casserole dish, sprinkled mozzarella cheese on top, and put it in the oven just long enough to melt the cheese. It was greatly enjoyed by my family, and was very easy to make.
It was ok....I added garlic, some ground sage to make the pork more "sausage like" and 1 tsp of sugar(the spag sauce i had on hand was a little too savory, & w/the whole "creamy" theme, it needed a softening to the acidity) Was good enough for a quick weeknight meal(soccer practice forces me into simple mode on such nights)
My family loved this recipe! They want it twice a month. I used a pound of medium-hot sausage and light sour cream. I kept the pasta seperate from the sauce, so I could reheat the sauce days later and serve it with fresh pasta. Delicious!
Okay my husband REALLY turned up his nose at this as I was making it, but loved it once he tried some. The only modification I made to this recipe was to use spicy sausage (bulk) instead of ground pork; the change was perfect.
This is a very quick easy and tasty recipe! I didnt have enough penne, so i used rotelle instead and it was delicious. Also, I would add some garlic to this recipe as well! Yum!
THIS WAS THE BOMB! I loved how easy and absolutely tasty this was! I made it withough green peppers because of personal preference and added a healthy dose of italian seasoning! My hard to please Italian husband says this is a keeper! thanks so much for a great recipe!
Great, flexible recipe that's just different enough to make this a truly pleasant change from the usual jar + box weekday pasta routine. We've found that using half-and-half gives a more silky end result. Many thanks for sharing this 'new classic' in our menu rotation!
This recipe really depends on the type of pasta sauce you use. Make sure you use one with some extra flavour, herbs and spices going on and a thicker, more tomatoey sauce.

Pile it into a tomato half, load it into a wrap, or spread it on bread. Chicken salad does it all.
Broccoli salad makes a great side dish or a light main dish on a warm night.
