Absolutely perfect! I didn't put the red wine vinegar in, only because I didn't have any and didn't feel like getting something I probably wouldn't use for a long time. I did add a 12 oz can of corn. I simmered for 2 hours. Perfect! Had it with "Best Ever Corn Muffins".

Fantastic! Like other reviewers had suggested, I added a 28oz can of tomatoes, cumin, and a small can of green chilis. I also cut back on the oregano a bit and added a chipotle pepper with adobo sauce, an extra can of diced tomatoes, extra garlic and I used red onion and olive oil instead of veg oil. I forgot to add the vinegar. My husband and I both loved it and had it again for lunch today. Will make this again and again. I served it with sour cream, shredded cheese and crackers. YUM!

I've made this chili more times than I can count, since I first saw the recipe. It's absolutely YUMMY! The vinegar is the secret ingredient here -- it takes it from great, to AMAZING! I love this recipe -- and it's even better the next day! If you're following the South Beach diet, this is a perfect recipe for phase 1.

I thought this was great chili as did my kids and husband! I only used 2 cans of black beans and almost a whole bag of frozen white corn. The red vinegar adds a little something and I will definitely make this again. Great served over rice or on its own. Thanks for the recipe.

I love this recipe. I would highly suggest substituting the crushed tomatoes for diced or stewed tomatoes for a less tomato-y flavor.

I added about half a can of drained corn and I used MorningStar Farms (vegan) veggie crumbles in place of the ground meat. It was very good, but in my opinion there is room for imporvement. I think next time I will probably use mexican style stewed tomatoes, increase the seassoning and probably add a bit of cumin. By the way this makes a very big pot of chili, way more than 6 servings.

This was good. I used ground turkey meat. I sauteed the garlic in some olive oil then added the turkey meat. I left out the onions as I can't eat them and we never miss them. Used a can of diced tomatoes and a can of tomato sauce since i didn't have the large crushed tomato can. Put everything into a crock pot on low for 4.5 hours and it was great. Next time I might try adding a few more beans, maybe a drained can of white beans and a drained can of corn (drained because there was plenty of liquid already). I think the corn would add to it. Served with a sweet corn cake, tortilla chips, cheddar cheese and soup crackers. I'll do this again and get more creative!

I use diced tomatoes with green chilis for an extra kick. It tastes better the longer it simmers!

Simple & Easy & Yummy! This makes a lot more then 6 servings. I did take others suggestions: added a can of corn (drained), added 1 tbsp of cumin, and put it all in a crockpot for 3-4 hours. I also drained the cooked turkey before adding it to the crockpot. We ate it wrapped up in flour tortillas with cheddar cheese and sour cream. **Update** I made this a second time and it was just as yummy but I accidentally put 2 Tbsp of Cumin in....OOPS!! Panicking, I Googled my way to a solution....Nutmeg. I added about 1/2 tsp. and let it keep on cooking. (You could add more if you wanted the cumin flavor tuned down further). This time, I froze the chili in 1/2C portions because that makes 1 burrito and a little on the side for dipping chips into.

Very good base chili recipe. I used lots more spices and one large can of crushed tomatos. Ate half and froze the other half.

This was very good, I substituted 1 can of beans for a can of corn because my fiancé doesn't really care for beans. 3 cans sounded like a lot of beans but after making it, it would have been just fine with all 3. I did think it needed a little more kick so I added some extra chili powder, cayenne and a little salt.

Mmmmmm! I love chili and this one is so simple and easy. I just diced in some bell pepper to the onions/garlic and added a tiny drop of liquid smoke and a droplet of worestershire sauce. Perfect.

This was very good chili. Only made minor changes... omitted onion, doubled tomatoes, added a can each of green chilis and whole kernel corn, and added a bit of cumin to the meat when it was browning. I added extra chili powder, a few shakes of crushed red pepper, and a healthy dose of black pepper because the oregano seemed a bit overwhelming. Very good, thank you!

I used this recipe and it was great. I fed it to my mom who's always skeptical of my cooking and she asked to take home some leftovers, so I know it was good. I also added cumin as others have suggested and put in a few bay leaves.

This was a nice basic recipe. It was too meaty for me though. I started off following the recipe exactly but ended up changing some things while it was simmering. I added an extra can of kidney beans, corn, red chili flakes, diced jalapenos, and twice the amount of chili powder. Next time I'll just cut the meat in half and add extra black beans.

I did not like this recipe because it tasted too meaty for me. Generally I prefer chili with the vegetables and beans as the main event. It was a pretty easy recipe to prepare. Probably anyone who prefers a meatier chili will probably like it.

This was OK. I'm not sure why it didn't turn out as good as all the other reviews said it was. It just tasted like black beans. If I try this again, I would probably only add 1 or 2 cans of black beans and try a little different seasonings.
